Stopped here for lunch. Fabulous food and great value. Squeezed us in without a booking too which was appreciated.Food & drinks: The chilli nachos were delicious and had some of the best curry sauce we've ever tasted!

Stayed over in Y Capel for one night, had dinner and breakfast tooThe room was lovely, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was great - huge shower! The food was great - two mains, a side, a pint and a glass of wine came to around £51 so a bit pricey but it was really nice. Breakfast was speedy service and cosy in the library, included in the price of the room so can't complain at all. Would definitely come back!

One of my favourite pubs/bars in Conwy. I've been here many times for drinks although I am yet to try the food. It's always busy, but not overcrowded, on a weekend and they are dog friendly. The décor is cool and it's a very warm and welcoming place to be. They have a nice beer garden/smoking area with halogen heaters. It's a bit small and I can imagine it being full on warmer/sunny days.I have had some odd issues on occasion, hence the 4 star rating. They don't do cocktails apparently, but they will do some cocktails... i.e. on a recent visit I asked for an Espresso Martini but the bartender declined, stating that they don't do cocktails. Fair enough, I got a pint instead. But the next day, my wife asked for an Aperol Spritz, which they gladly made for her. As far as I am aware, an Aperol Spritz is a cocktail. I wouldn't mind if I had asked for a Sex on the Beach, but an Espresso Martini is not in the same class as a Sex on the Beach!Then on our last visit, we walked by the pub, peering inside to see if it was busy. It was not busy and I could see plenty of free space/tables/seats, yet the doorman refused entry, stating that they were full. They clearly weren't full but I didn't argue, we went elsewhere.It's still a great bar overall and I do want to try the food on our next visit. I recommend a visit if you're in Conwy as it is one of the better bars in the area. The bar is right across from the train station too which is a bonus.

Enjoyed a family reunion brunch here and another night just for drinks. Very friendly staff,great selection of food and drinks.Note ...bring a little cushion for long time sitting ..chairs a little hard !!

Managed to get a table in the Bar. Good was superb we had the fish and chips with roasted carrots Fish was perfectly cooked with light crisp batter.
Much needed break for a few days and found this great place the food was excellent (one of the best meals we've had)great service with friendly staff.Would highly recommend if you like great food.Thank you for making our weekend away one to remember and talk about ??

Stopped off for evening meal - the best cod loin I have ever tasted, cooked perfectly in a light cauliflower puree with mussels and samphire. Thank you, very welcome after a wet day exploring beautiful castles

Probably the only place in the whole of Wales where a stranger is left alone to drink and reminisce on the days discoveries and enjoy the truly wonderful ales from a local brewery. The bar staff are magnificent, friendly and extremely helpful. Thank you, I truly enjoyed my time in your location.

I wish I could give this place a positive rating, but the experience we had was nothing short of horrendous. We called in advance, checking if a table for five was available, and were assured that while the restaurant was fully booked, the bar would have ample space for us. Excited and relieved, we made our way there within 10 minutes, only to be met with utter chaos and disrespect.The bar was jam-packed, not a single table in sight. Feeling confused, we approached the gentleman we had spoken to on the phone, hoping for some guidance or at the very least, an apology for the misinformation. Instead, we were met with indifference and rudeness. He nonchalantly informed us that they were fully booked, as if we hadn't just called and been assured of the opposite. When we expressed our frustration and disappointment, hoping for some sort of resolution, he simply turned his back on us.It was a blatant show of disrespect and unprofessionalism. We were left standing there, feeling humiliated and frustrated, while he moved on to other customers, completely disregarding the situation he put us in. The lack of accountability and sheer rudeness was appalling.Not only did this pub waste our time, but they also showed a complete lack of regard for their customers. It would have been fair and professional to warn us that there was a chance we might not get a table, instead of making false promises and leaving us stranded.I am appalled by the lack of customer service and basic decency shown by the staff at this establishment. It's clear that they do not value their customers or care about providing a good experience. I would strongly advise against visiting this place, unless you want to be treated with disrespect and left fuming with frustration.

I can't prise the place enough!Very pleasant and clean rooms.Food is outstanding and service even better. I can't thank enough the lovely lady who found me a taxi in the morning which was a massive challenge. You got me to my training on time !!Highly recommended ? I will be booking again for any future stays. Thank you xx
