A lovely place to stop at, I wish we had more time to spend there - Chris & Rachel were great hosts. We ordered oysters, a prawn cocktail and a cheeky lobster & crab mac and cheese, really fresh and well presented, generous portions and quick service. Atmosphere was relaxed in the bar but still felt like a special place to visit - do take a moment to admire Chris's fire if it's lit!

Lovely restaurant and the service was faultless. Sunday lunch was nice BUT... the lamb was just little off cuts and really fatty. The rest was nice, bit disappointed with the meat especially with the extra charge for lamb. I will be back for steak though as I seen other dishes come out that was envious

Have been wanting to try this place for a while, and glad we got around to it. Fantastic lunch time set menu plenty to choose from and portion sizes were huge, so only managed 2 courses sadly. Will be back to try harder next time!!! Fish especially good and scallops amazing. Keep up the good work and friendly

The curry sauce is out of this world and the best I have had in the UK over the past 3 months.Parking: Parking available at the rear of the property

So excited to eat roast dinner here after having such wonderful fish meals here , but was so dissapointed with roast dinner , meat totally dried out , beef and lamb too tough to eat , veg frozen not fresh , gravy didn't taste homemade , such a shame as staff and atmosphere is lovely 8 of us £270 without drinks , will go again but not for Sunday dinner
