I stopped off here with some friends for dinner on the way home from climbing Snowdon. We were in great need of a warm welcome, decent pint and a good fill which is exactly what we got. Incredibly friendly staff and the pizzas were fantastic. Finally, the manager went over-and-above to return by post an item that our group left behind. Top pub.

I came for a long weekend to Dolgellau with my daughter, fiancé and two dogs.Well, what an absolutely blinding pub the Stag is.Great beer, pizzas and snacks all at reasonable prices. However the real treasure is the staff and locals. So friendly and welcoming. This is my Welsh local from now on.Thank you team Stag and lovely local Edwin for making our holiday.

The restaurant is beautiful and the service was lovely. Felt very welcome and it’s amazing to have vegan food taste so delicious. Definitely recommend!!

We had a great party at The Stag for a group of 20+ (ranging from 1-70 years old). Paulina and her team made so much effort to make us feel welcome. We used the function room which gave us space to chill and not worry about the kids annoying other customers which meant that the parents in the group could relax too. The food was delicious and there was a good selection including for the veggies in the group.Thank you so much for having us.

Nice pub with good range of cans and bottled craft beers.Nice wood-fired pizzas, served with scissors!Rather cold when we visited despite a wood-burner.

Very quiet pub, good wood fired pizza & selection of craft beers.Only Woodburn lit & very cold in there, would have stayed longer if had been warmer.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour by bar staff, his behaviour was very caustic from the start. One of my friends commented to my colleague that he was unfriendly and wondering what his problem was. The barman said that if he wasn't happy he would give him a plastic glass. We walked out of an empty pub in winter where trade is so important and local as that . Never go there especially if that barman is on shift. What a plinker

Visited for food on 15/07/23 while riding at Dyfi Bike Park for the weekend. The Pizzas were fantastic and having Beavertown beers on tap was brilliant! Can't wait to get back to Dyfi and head here again for evening meals!
