Restaurants in Dolgellau
Stag Inn
Bridge St, DolgellauI stopped off here with some friends for dinner on the way home from climbing Snowdon. We were in great need of a warm welcome, decent pint and a good fill which is exactly what we got. Incredibly friendly staff and the pizzas were fantastic. Finally, the manager went over-and-above to return by post an item that our group left behind. Top pub.

Smithfield St, DolgellauWeekend away in Wales with the family. Ended up getting a last minute table here on a Friday night. Lovely atmosphere. Service impeccable. Food is authentic, fresh and delicious. Family friendly aswel, our 7 year old daughter could eat multiple dishes off the menu and the staff were lovely with her. Yr Hen Efail
4 Green Lane, DolgellauNice little cafe with a good courtyard area for your dog to join you for some typical breakfast grub. All cooked very well - including the veggie option. My only negative comment. Dolgellau has a large Welsh speaking population. It’s not unreasonable to address people with the assumption that they speak Cymraeg. A simple smile and a “sorry I don’t speak Welsh” is all it takes. Here the service was bordering on impolite with the baffled look of someone who had just been addressed in Serbo-Croat!!

Lemon Grass
Cambrian House, Finsbury Square, DolgellauWe finished a walk late and looking for a bite to eat. Having been turned away by a few other businesses in town (it was by now 20:15 on a Sunday). There were probably getting ready to close for the evening, but happily welcomed us and served delicious Indian. We were the only people in the restaurant at that time, but there was 'pressure' to finish the food and leave. Even the chef came out to ask if the food was ok.

Royal Ship, Dolgellau
Queen's Square, DolgellauI live in the USA. Wanted to visit Snowdonia on a roadtrip through Wales. First time visit. Booked rather last minute and was accommodated immediately. The staff is attentive and very friendly. Teamwork amongst the few staff working was cohesive and everyone was legitimately happy to be there. I love that. Room was impeccably clean and the view out the window was just incredible. Food was outstanding too. My only recommendation would to be add some more WiFi coverage throughout the hotel….but that is not a reason to not spend an evening or two in this beautiful hotel with first class service. Well done ?

SPAR - Dolgellau
Bala Rd, DolgellauIt s a huge supermarket that you can find anything and all the times we have been there, the staff at the tills were very polite and friendly. There are two other "Spar" markets in the village (smaller ones),one very close to this one (that closes early,so we didn't have the chance to buy sth from there) and one in the center of the village (also didn't visit)Nevertheless, I recommend this one because it has a large variety of stuff and you can find anythingIt has a parking also there
