They have an amazingly talented chef. We went there for my birthday and they accommodated us booking at the last minute and we got there at 830 pm. It was empty but for us it was at the back end of when they take food orders and they were really friendly and so we ordered not knowing what to expect and OH MY G O D thee food was really good i was quite shocked at how good it was I mean I’ve not eaten a meal like that years? Ever? Seriously this is a cut above a spoons meal. I ordered catch of the day which was perfectly tender wild salmon on bed of roasted sweet potatoes with peas and a lemon and garlic sauce. I won’t ever forget that meal. This chef they have in their kitchen is gonna give Gordon Ramsey a run for his money because I was in heaven with what I had put infront of me I was just humming and aaahing like it was a work of art in my mouth and they happily substituted baked potato instead of chips and the potato was perfect fluffy and perfectly baked best baked potato I’ve ever had I know it’s just a baked potato lol but it wasn’t there’s something about a pro chef I don’t know how they do it but a simple thing you thought you could do yourself well at home suddenly you’re reminded that it’s not the same as when really done properly. Three perfect meals for each of us so damned tasty but anyway the whole bill came to a total of 60 for three very filling beautifully cooked and presented meals and three drinks. We had no room for desert… which considering the quality of the cooking was worth every penny. We will go there again when ever we want a real treat. I know there won’t be anywhere better not after what we just experienced. I’ll take photos next time I go because we will go again for sure

We pre ordered food for 15 of us,the food was ready for when we arrived but was left under a heated food lamp for ages prior to our arrival which resulted an da bone dry and burned top of the beef curry then our 2 different orders of ham egg and chips our ham was dry as a bone and changed a funny colour, how can you put ham under a heat lamp hey..my husband sent his curry back and had a fresh ine within minutes but both others left theyre ham as they were annoyed with the atmosphere there and felt they would ruin the others atmosphere also ordering food there too.we have visited the masons a few times over the years but this is the very last time we will be returning.i tryed to reach out to the chef but he had read my message and ignored My message..now if that's rude nothing is I would have thought he woukd take it on board the feedback but he didnt so it's now his loss.

Very accommodating and friendly family running the pub. The portions are a good size, especially the chips. The presentation could be better however, but if you just want some hearty pub grub and short notice it’s perfect.

1 star is to much. Rude staff, waited 30mins to have order taken aftwr asking at the bar. Ended up leaving with takeaway food. Got home tapas swimming in oil, gammon still had a heartbeat it was that raw. Complained then got called a liar on the phone. Such a poor place, wasnt a good exprience, hopfully nobody else has the exprience that we had. Good luck. Way over priced. Also management couldnt speak to me them selfs, they got a waitress to which i dont agree with as its not their problem.

Nice little pub Nr Haverfordwest. Lovely little beer garden to sit out in the beautiful sunshine. Just a shame more people don't support it. Food was homemade, freshly prepared and very tasty!

This pub was easy to reach from where we were staying, though at first we were the only diners. The girl who served us was sufficiently attentive, though not especially welcoming. She first went to warn the chef that there were two diners, so we wondered if it was maybe not the best place to eat. We did not have starters, and the wait for the main courses was not excessive. They were well presented and well cooked, with huge chips served separately. The food cannot have been very remarkable as I cannot now recall what we ate, but nice enough to warrant a return visit. We returned later in the week when it was busier, and were told politely we would have to wait 15 or more minutes before she could take our order. We ordered drinks at the bar, but the waitress was shouted at by the chef to take a customer's food which was not very pleasant. In the event, we only waited about ten minutes to have our order taken. The food came without undue delay and the salmon was very good, beautifully cooked and very tasty. There was no salt on our table but the waitress immediately fetched some. The specials board seemed to be the same as our earlier visit, but there was plenty of choice.

Called in with friend on way home to Marloes for lunch. A family run pub and very welcoming! Much improved inside and big choice of menu. Would definitely go back.

13 of us went for food, staff were accommodating, friendly and welcoming, the food was presented well, and it tasted amazing. We will be sure to visit again.

We visited the masons in March and had the loveliest welcoming experience, decided to book a Father’s Day meal for family of 6 and the experience today was the complete opposite. When calling up in the morning to add another person we could hear the chef swearing and shouting at the woman who was on the phone and audibly angry at the request but said to allow it. We waited 40 minutes for our order to even be taken. We had to ask twice and then waited again after this. The food was then over an hour’s wait. By the time the food came one family member had to leave soon so asked to cancel their food to which the waitress replied ‘the chefs said you can but he will charge you for it and you will pay’ so we said okay still bring it to the table. A family with a pregnant member and a 7 month old this was extremely long to wait over 1 hour and 40 minutes later. The rest of the restaurant had left by this point. The food was bland, I wouldn’t have waited 30 minutes for this meal let alone how long we did. We had hoped it took so long because it was going to be nice. The mash was frozen, a roast dinner served with sweet potato fries, a hair in the swede mash and a Salmon dish swimming in a grease butter sauce - not a great experience. A young boy was sent to the table to ask if everything was okay to which we replied it was a bit late to ask when he did (food barely touched and cold at this point). The Yorkshire puddings seemed to be deep fat fried and the broccoli was served starting to turn yellow. When going to the bar to pay we weren’t asked how our meal was either. They then tried to charge us £12.95 for mozzarella sticks. When questioning this we were told because it was one course that’s what we had to pay we then said it was a starter and would’ve came with a main but we asked for it all to be served together as the wait was so extraordinarily long, they then did eventually change this but poor customer service. Will not be visiting again such a shame as we have had positive previous experiences.
