A lovely place to eat. All home cooked food at great prices. You can get breakfast too. Lovely staff!

Great place, reasonably priced, hidden away. Just double check their opening times if making a special journey.

lovely relaxed atmosphere in this licensed cafe on a campsite and very good food, large portions too. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices reasonable. Really can't fault it. The campsite was a different matter, one of the worst I've ever been to. So stay somewhere else but pop into the cafe, they deserve your business.

So pleased we are the 1st TA review ? of 2023. After trying 2 times to visit it was 3rd time lucky , the paddlers return is what it is , lots of memorabilia, a rustic decor , we ordered 2 full breakfasts washed down with mugs of coffee ( free refills ) . Penny the chef ?‍? russled us up 2 hearty breakfasts just what the doctor ordered. We loved our brief visit to the Paddlers Return we will spread the word and we will be back.

Great food and beer, fairly priced. Lovely staff. I almost always meet old and new paddling friends there. Because the food is cooked to order and The Paddlers is small and personal, service can get slower if it's very busy - so settle in for some good craic and another Snowdonia Ale while you wait.

Not the easiest of places to find, even with a sat nav but persistence (and some locals) saw us arrive at what looked like the set of Western mining film. The pub/bistro is located in a ramshackle building with decor that included a wall lamp created out of driftwood, Two oars that must have come out of the old slave ships and a kitchen bell to summon the waitresses. The bell was hanging in the bar and consisted of the bell with a dolls leg suspended from it . A cord was tied to the foot, wound it's way around the wall and into the kitchen where, no doubt, Chef gives a tug on the cord to make staff aware that a delivery was required. All in keeping with the zany feel to the place. The Menu was pinned to a notice board and I reckon it probably changes daily. Order at the bar, service was pretty slick and the two staff took it in turns to check back. Got the feeling that they really wanted to ensure we were happy with our food and not the 'mandatory' check carried out in most places. We had chicken curry and lamb curry. Chicken came with popadum and lamb with naan. Both dishes were excellent and tasty. Good hearty food. When leaving, we realised that this seemed to serve a caravan park hidden in the hills behind. Fascinated by the number of kayaks, wetsuits, canoes etc yet saw no sign of water. Wider exploration of this area needed methinks so hopefully go back. In summary - a quaint, zany and must visit venue with great quality food and true customer oriented staff. Just don't look for frills but enjoy the experience. Brilliant place.

We waited 2 hours for an unforgettable dry burger and cheap chips. No apology and no reason given.Great atmosphere shame about the service.

Hope it’s ok to post on here. We were here last night for the pizza night, had a lovely evening with great food and company. Until my boyfriends dog went missing. We searched high and low for her and were frantic with worry. She was eventually found….she’d walked almost 2 miles back to my house and my neighbour kindly took her in. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped look for her last night, we are so relieved to have her home safe n sound. Thanks again xx

Food was lovely and there were lots of games free to use, the food service went to quite a long wait but it's because we were there when it opened. Overall lovely and it isn't a formal place, great for a night out and the food was served well. (The chicken nuggets and chips was a kids meal so it was smaller) p.s. it opens at 5PM and food is open to serve at 5:30PM

A relaxed and friendly place. Delightful home-cooked food served by lovely people in this atmospheric and eclectic bar on the Anglesey Outdoors accomodation site. Recommended!

Family friendly bar near the beach.Served by Mia who only started last week. She coped excellently with the demands of three hungry kids and despite being shot staffed we got our food in really good time. Big thumbs up to Mia and the chef. Excellent work. See you all soon.
