Fantastic slow cooked beef, Thai curry, dish of the day and not something I may have picked from the menu, it came recommended and was great, delicate but full flavour, tasty and one I would love to have again, soon! A lovely few hours with friends and all enjoyed our meals. Thank you very much

We are so glad we visited Poon’s!! Excellent food and just the most lovely service. Would like to relive it all again! We had Thai green curry and pad Thai and both were enormous and incredibly delicious. I had sticky toffee pudding for dessert and I think it might actually be the best one I’ve ever had. The couple who serve the food and drinks are just so lovely. They were so kind to our 17 month old and we all felt very welcome. You can bring booze but we had their very reasonably priced soft drinks. They also do takeaways which seemed to be very popular - eat in if you can because you’ll receive the most genuinely warm and friendly service, but it’s nice to have the option of a takeaway too! If/when we return to the area we will absolutely be back!

So glad I found this hidden treasure whilst holidaying in Laugharne, South Wales. The food was absolutely delicious, truly authentic and packed full of flavour. It is freshly prepared and so it takes a little longer but it’s well worth the wait. We ordered the Prawn Noodles which was a generous portion with lots of king prawns within and the Thai Green Veg Curry with Jasmine Rice which transported you straight to Bangkok. It’s a shame we found it on the last day of our trip, don’t make the same mistake and certainly visit this place if you’re in the area.

We tried to go on Tuesday but it was closed so we tried again Saturday bingo it was open what a gem,both of us ordered pad Thai one prawn the other chicken for me. We have both been to Thailand and this as near to the food you get there,this place is not licensed so you can bring your own wine ,if you are around these parts it worth a visit

We enjoyed a great meal here last night. We ate early because of having children so there weren’t any other guests until we were close to leaving, however the food was fantastic. For starter we had spring rolls, pork skewers and chicken skewers which were delicious, and for mains we enjoyed Beef Rendang, pork mince, prawn fried rice and chicken Pad Thai which were all really tasty.Staff were friendly and helpful too. A great experience with authentic home cooked food.

Great food, and the fact that you can bring in beer from the pub next door is a bonus.PS did I say that the food is great!? Recommend the Papaya Salad for those that like a bit of heat.

What I loved about this place was that I could have prawn noodles whilst my sons were able to have chicken nuggets and a sandwich. I had loads of prawns in my dish and it was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice ? service was friendly and there was a very homely ambience.

Quite simply the most delicious Thai beef curry I’ve ever tasted - I bought two extra portions to take away! So friendly and accommodating, loved taking our own alcohol. Atmosphere very relaxed, a mix of locals and tourists. Will definitely return.

Called in on our way back home from a week in Pembrokeshire as a bit of a spontaneous decision. Are we glad we did though as this is the first time we’ve eaten here and I can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone! What an incredible place to eat if you like Thai food (they do other food too including breakfast etc) but we went for the Thai meals. From the moment we walked in the door the reception from the waiting staff was fabulous and very friendly and welcoming. The service was fantastic and the authentic food we had was second to none! We will definitely be back when we are passing by!!! Thanks very much!
