This is by far the best camp site I have visited in Wales and we have travel down the country and visited a number of different sites. We paid £30 for electricity hookup (VW camper)Extremely welcoming and warm .Really well organised, maintained and the place is really well thought out and planned around every eventuality including weather.Micro cafe and pub along with shop that's open 24-7 with an honesty box .Multiple activities and walks that are signposted. There is no additional cost for showers , WiFi .everything is very clean and of good standard.Would highly recommend .Nearby activities: Lots of amenities and activities, walks , fishing , paddleboarding and swimming.Safety: Lots of safety signs and instructions clearly visible.Noteworthy details: Would highly recommend this place hassle free . Nothing to much trouble

Dogs welcome, but not One dog bin on Site!!. I asked why and they said, they wouldn't be emptied. You have to carry it and put in the general waste. I suspect most people would throw in hedgerow.

Best campsite I’ve ever stayed on, quiet and peaceful with fantastic views from the local hills.Nearby activities: Swim in the lake are hire a paddle board, plenty of quiet roads for 2 wheels tooWalkability: The views from the surrounding countryside are second to noneFood & drinks: Arriving on a Friday and having fresh pizza waiting is a cracking idea and the cafe/bar are just what you need

Wonderful site with excellent staff who are easily approachable. Lots of facilities on site and all in good condition too.We will be visiting again without a doubt and the handmade pizza was great to have on the first night too.It has a lovely family feel and I would have no hesitation is booking again - thank you!

A lovely site and beautiful location! Staff are friendly and helpful. The kids love it here, loads of space to run and play. The on-site lake is fantastic. We can't wait to return next year.

This campsite is excellent. Hard to find a better site for families. They have thought of everything. Highly recommended from a family that camps around 10trips per year.Food & drinks: Great cafe and pizza night (if you remember to book a slot!). Bar area has a great vibe and good selection of drinks.

Rooms = camping plots. Loads of facilities: drying room, phone chargers, pizza oven, bar, swimming lake, fishing lake, phone charging etc. They've developed a culture of campers cleaning after themselves that has stuck. You'll see campers mopping out the showers and cleaning sinks after use - it's very clean. Showers are push button for max 5 second a push which is annoying but environmentally friendly. Kids have a great time. A good drive from anything none campsite related, which is very limiting when it rains.Rooms: Big plots, lots of room in many fieldsNearby activities: Walks, swimming lake, fishing lakeFood & drinks: Honesty camp shop, bar and cafe

Just back from an amazing 6 days at Fforest Fields in our trailer tent. Absolutely lovely site, very child friendly, my children (7&3) loved playing on site, riding their bikes, exploring the trails and SUP o man the lake. Generous sized pitches, dog friendly, and we didn’t mind the noise curfew. It’s really well advertised when you book and whilst on site. Facilities were all good- would be better if the showers lasted a little longer but not too much of a pain. Cafe and shop were such an added bonus- particularly the hot chocolates after jumping in the lake! We will definitely be back.

After camping here twice before I was expecting a lovely time. I booked a pitch with hookup, as I have always done, I suffer with obstructive sleep apnea and I need mains power for the CPAP machine. The first comment I received from the employee, standing next to the lady on reception was "Do not charge your Tesla on this campsite". We were part of a group of children who were school friends who had been coming to the site for many years but were rammed into a corner like sardines. We were told there should be no music, not even singing, the website didn't state this. Silence was wanted, no discussion or happiness at all. The "Gestapo" enforced this with extreme prejudice. They knew we were a large group, moaned about the size of the group. We spend at lot in the shop, pizza outlet and cafe, but were not really wanted. On a poster inside the toilets they said they didn't give a sh1t about bad reviews so here you go! I won't ever visit again. Sort your rules out on your website so we are aware that you don't like children, and people enjoying themselves. If you didn't want a large group visiting then you shouldn't have accepted the booking. One to avoid in the future. Never had this issue here before this year, obviously going down hill.

Beautiful place, but staffed by rude people. In addition, we ordered pizzas for the Saturday night, told on the day that they had been cancelled, left having to venture into town to get food. Not the end of the world, but annoying with no notice. On the first night, we encountered Matt. 10.31pm, literally 1 minute past the curfew, he marched over, no torch, no ID, and offered the most rude warning. We were having a chat with the family, very quiet, but Matt told us not that kakkling is too loud, and we “won’t want to get him back or else”. My family and business will be going elsewhere in the future.

Absolutely wonderful campsite, wasn't sure when we found out music wasn't allowed as we like to have a small speaker with music of an evening, but you know what? We didn't miss it! As soon as we arrived we could see the site was buzzing, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the facilities were second to none. I wish I had a paddle board as the lake looked great. Cakes and drinks from Cafe/bar were great and fairly priced and the sausage rolls were probably the best ive eaten! Enjoyed the site so much that we are looking to come back next year. We only stopped for 2 nights to break up our journey home from Cardigan, but I wish we could have had longer here. 25 mins from the dams of the Elan Valley also. Get it Booked!
