Dreadful in every possible way. Very rude member of staff who wanted to take an entire plate - per - customer Christmas booking from the customer infront while we were waiting in line for two drinks. 5 members of staff behind the counter and 4 staring into space. Made to sit alone in the glass conservatory and had the door shut on us. Also every table has a reservation label for people who aren't due for hours. Nice coffee & views of the lake but shan't be returning.Parking: Difficult & under provisioned.Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible ramp at entrance

Being the end of September, it Was chilly sat outside, but as we had our dog.. we weren't allowed inside.Which was shocking, as we are use to a more dog friendly atmosphere, from our local area.Maybe missing something ?

Ideally positioned cafe overlooking picturesque lake. Inside and outdoor seating. Good breakfast and drinks selection and friendly, fast service. Parking is limited but I will certainly be visiting again and I can only recommend highly.

Visited the lake side cafe on recommendation of locals and were not disappointed. All meals were freshly made with views over the nearby lake. Parking nearby is free and the lake has a descent walk way around the circumference to enjoy whilst watching the wild life on the lake.

A wonderful setting with views over the lake. Inside/outside seating available all on first floor so best for the views. Service very quick, prices reasonable, staff very efficient.

We had a lovely lunch last week and we couldn't fault it. Everything was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. The staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I'd definitely recommend a visit - one tip though, book a table as it's very popular and gets very busy. 5 stars from us. ?Vegetarian options: There are several vegetarian options on the menu - my son opted for the home made veg chilli which he said was absolutely delicious.

Had a small, full English breakfast. The food was top quality, cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully. All in a lovely country lakeside setting.

Twice now i have been here and ordered a Vegan Cheese toastie and twice the meal has come with non vegan coleslaw on the plate. The first time this happened the waitress came over to me after 10 minutes of me receiving my food and told me 'btw the coleslaw is not vegan'. I told her that in future they should not put this on the plate as the meal is advertised as vegan, but i personally was fine to continue with my food and just leave it on the side. I tried to get the point across that this is really bad practice as people with allergies order vegan and this could have caused the cafe to be shut down if given to the wrong person. She couldnt understand my point and said 'but its fine as we make sure we tell people afterwards'. But after the plate has been put down may be too late for some people and cause an anaphylactic reaction, as i had already has my plate for 10 minutes before being told. She then went and spoke to the chef and came back out and said in future they are going to put the coleslaw in a pot on the side of the plate on the vegan meals instead. To which i said that is still so bad. It just shouldnt be on the plate at all. We left it at that as i dont think my point was getting across to the chef or the waitress. I then visited again last week and my sister ordered me a vegan toastie. Again, the meal came with non vegan coleslaw. This really needs to stop as you are going to give this to someone with allergies and this could shut the cafe down.
