Fantastic little pub, great atmosphere and lovely staff. Immediately feels like your local. Lots of stuff going on, quiz nights, themed nights; a proper local of the old school. The food is good quality pub grub that does the job work no fuss - I had scampi for mains and scampi for desserts (served a la sundae style).Staff are the proper job with banter and knowledge! If you're in the area have at least one drink here but prepare to stay longer than expected

Brilliant. Pub grub, welcoming staff and locals, great atmosphere, great beer, really enjoyed our impromptu visit and if it wasn't for the demands of cats and horses we'd probably have stayed til closing time! Will definitely be back soon. ?

We're looking forward to visiting as we had been told it was amazing, by my partner's parents (who also joined us on this occasion). However it did not turn out to be even remotely what we expected this time! My in-laws had a great time when they visited in may, but we certainly did not. The staff were friendly enough but not overly so. We ordered drinks in the bar, and my partner got some beer previously poured that was in a jug (bit wierd..?). However it seemed to taste alright. We ordered curry, burger and loaded fries. We sat in the garden. We waited roughly 25 minutes for the food which is normal and not a problem, but then we got served minimal portions in takeaway boxes without lids. The curry was no more than a snack size! My partner finished it in less than a minute, and his mum too. The chips were from the freezer section and they only got half a naan bread each. The loaded fries had half melted, now cold, cheese on top and sauce. Otherwise tasted ok. It was not expensive, so the price is not a complaint. But we would much rather have paid more, in order to have proper portions! Very disappointing as we were "celebrating" our last evening together before us returning home to a different country. A bit of a shame when it clearly was great previously.

My band (The Rusty Nutz) played at the recent "Rock The Gwasbah" festival hosted at this wonderful Pub. The event itself was awesome, filled with equally awesome people. The Pub is just a perfect rural Pub, very friendly staff and patrons and all very welcoming. The variety of local craft Beers is also great. The food at the festival was outstanding, the usual too quality, handmade Burgers, Suasages and the like. All in all a beautiful Pub in a beautiful village run by beautiful folk. See you at the next RTG!! ???❤️

One of those places you need to know about. Found this by pure chance as I was camping up the road and the campsite owner runs a taxi service from the pub to the village, including pub and shop! anyway, super friendly service, great beer, friendly locals and tasty food. Had nachos followed by half n half chilli with rice n chips (that’s the half n half ) food is reasonably priced, tasty, good portions. Cake on the bar. When you go here do talk to people. Ask about the specials (salt n pepper chicken and gammon with eggs AND pineapple)

What an amazing little local pub. Very low key and very very local but so nice and welcoming. Easy to talk to crowds and decent food options. Good choice of beers. Music tends to be more metal and hard rock (and so did the crowd), but that added to the appeal. Loved it and will definitely go back here again.

Best environment! Everyone is so welcoming and the atmosphere is so much fun. Cannot wait to come back during the summer for the garden concerts I hear about.
