Lots of stuff going on, quiz nights, themed nights; a proper local of the old school.The food is good quality pub grub that does the job work no fuss - I had scampi for mains and scampi for desserts (served a la sundae style).Staff are the proper job with banter and knowledge!If you're in the area have at least one drink here but prepare to stay longer than expected

The Half Moon Inn
Station Rd, Pontwelly, LlandysulI felt it would be selfish not to share how much we enjoyed our first visit to The Half Moon. From the moment of booking our table, to arriving we were met with such sincere friendliness from the whole family. The food was delicious, cooked and served with care and priced very reasonably. I would definitely recommend this real time pub and it’s great food. We will be back.Vegetarian options: There is a homemade option, however I chose to eat scampi which was first class.Parking: Parking is just opposite, small but useful to have.

Ffostrasol, LlandysulA last minute booking for us with a well behaved dog. Absolutely outstanding beef Sunday lunch, plenty of fresh veg, gravy and a rather large Yorkshire pudding. Dessert was delicious, I had an apple crumble and custard which was just like my nonna used to make, blackcurrant cheesecake was equally a good. Lovely young serving staff, especially a young man who had his birthay last week. We would definitely visit again and recommend to anyone travelling to this area. Thank you for a lovely afternoon xx

High St, LlandysulThis place is the best ,portion not as big as serve in Birmingham we drive over 13 miles looking for take away some one recomend this place it was worth the drive food is great customer service is great .it make our holiday taste buds satisify definatly will recomend them to any one holidaying in that area and looking for take away if you love spicy food Chef China is your place .Parking: We park on the road close to the take not sure if there is a parking lot

La Calabria
Rhydgoch, Ffostrasol, LlandysulHidden Gem! Booked a cottage a few miles away, a quick Google of places to eat nearby and this place popped up, what a spectacular surprise it was. Gorgeous setting, fantastic staff, amazing food, could not have been happier we found it. We live over an hour away, but I'm sure we will be visiting again soon, it is well worth the drive! Definitely 5 stars.

Paris House, High St, LlandysulBest pizza base we’ve ever tasted!I can’t even describe it but the base to the pizzas here are delicious. They’re not greasy or stodgy but just right. My husband also enjoyed a kebab and said it was really good and didn’t leave the normal regret that other kebabs leave you the day after.Would highly recommend.
