“A special find.We had been planning on staying in a nearby 'chain' hotel, but prices were much higher than last time, so decided to look around. I found this place!From the moment we arrived we knew we had made the right choice - Penny greeted us with "Would you like a cup of tea?" as soon as we entered her home. And even though we declined at that point as soon as we came down to the guest lounge to watch the early evening news another was offered. This was presented along with a plate of biscuits.Breakfast is the full works - cereals, fruit juice, tea or coffee (with refills if wanted), toast (brown or white to taste), butter & marmalade & lovely, freshly cooked sausage, bacon, egg, etc! We definitely didn't need any lunch after all of this.And all the while you feel like a person, not just a room number.As well as being just as convenient, it is cheaper & much more homely.The only drawback is that rooms are not en-suite, but that is a small price to pay for staying in such a welcoming home. Definitely somewhere we will try to book next time we are passing that way.”
