Sunday Carvery pretty poor. All meats over done, although gammon was passable. Crunchy sprouts, but just about edible ?Toilet flush broken ?I suppose the price reflects the quality. On the plus side, play area keeps the kids amused.

Just had amazing food here yet again. Staff friendly and helpful. Food out of this world. We had the best Christmas day ever here. We sure will be going backVegetarian options: Thai green cury was lovely.

Booked for three course Xmas dinner that wasn't available for some unknown reason 25minutes to order 1hr and 25mins for food to come of which they had to take away and reheat by the time we finished our food the restaurant was almost empty over three hours in the restaurant the turkey was processed and you could order off the normal menu we were lead to believe it was Xmas dinner only drove well over 20mes for this truly and utterly disappointed

Nice little gastro pub, easy to sit in if you have kids, play area is £4.50 per child for about 1.5 hours. Frequent offers. Good if you want a reasonably priced meal that caters for children

It is unfortunate that we probably chose the wrong day to have a meal here. The boxing day service was very slow and some of the meals were arriving lukewarm.Otherwise the staff were friendly and the meal was good value. From what I gather the meals usually arrive very quickly.

We visit the Sandpiper regularly, and the food has always been of the highest standard. It is always consistent. Staff are friendly and helpful, also great value for money.

Utter shambles! Booked boxing day festive lunch as Xmas day was fully booked. Meant to have around 1:30 had the starter at 3;15 then main at around 3:30 and the food seemed rushed and didn't taste good. Didn't bother waiting for desert or I would've still been there now at 5pm we had a partial refund but thanks for making Xmas Dinner a shambles ?Parking: Disabled customers beware only 4-disabled paces for the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Have to use next door (premier Inn I think) but there's only like 3 -4 disabled parking spaces which were taken so had to park on the end space in normal car park to get my wheelchair enough room. You havto sign in on the restaurants signing I'm book thing. Which you only get 2 hours so got told to sign in again surely that's there issue, why disturb customers to sign in again when its not the customers issue.

Me my freind my daughter and 4year old granson went this evening it was quiet but the lady in the play centra insisted on taking our plates when we hadn't even finished food , she was rude inpatient, and felt we had to rush my granson had not finished his pudding and wS told he had to be out in 5 minutes, had to rush my coffee! Spoilt my evening its not often go out it was my freinds birthday last week so wS a bit of a treat!! The lady had no people skills at all, thanks for spoiling my evening!

Lovely pub (we went there three days in a row, so it must have been ok). We only ate on the one visit, but the menu was extensive and the food was good quality. There was also a good range of drinks on offer. My only complaint is that they could have had more staff serving, but it wasn't too long a wait, so it didn't spoil the experience

Stopped here for a drink after a walk around the lake. Stayed outside in the outdoor/ garden area which has a beautiful view of the lake. Great different styles of seating yo choose and have heating facilities available.

We booked for a carvery meal today and arrived at 2.00 pm.We with others were extremely disappointed to find that carvery was not on because there was no Turkey. We ordered other food by about 2.15, but were very annoyed that we did not receive our food until 3.45, one and a half hours later. The standard of our food was poor, not up to the usual standard. This left us very unhappy and uncertain whether to come again. We have never had service as bad as this before.Extremely disappointedParking: Parking beside restaurant. Good size area, but not adequate for number of customers using the Sandpiper.

Usually the sandpiper is a lovely place we enjoy coming to, however today the older lady in the play area’s attitude was disgusting. Treated my grandmother like dirt and it really wasn’t nice to hear. Brought the atmosphere right down.

I have lived within walking distance of this establishment for nearly five years, so I can honestly & truthfully review this restaurant as I have over the years frequented here on more than several occasions but only once this year as it really isn’t & doesn’t get any better.. EVERY time I have chosen to eat here I regret it The restaurant decor is shocking & in desperate need of at least a fresh new lick of paint. The carpeted areas STINK, as they’ve probably never been thoroughly cleaned. The uncarpeted areas of floor are the stickiest floor I have EVER had the unfortunate pleasure to walk upon & the tables are as well, sticky is an understatement, the tables are obviously just quickly wiped with spray sanitiser & have over time just got stickier & stickier. The food (menu) over the years is the same time & time again (renamed) the portion’s are laughable & the produce & ingredients used well as you can probably imagine, grotesque. YOUR discouraged from arriving early to maybe have a drink at the bar before your seated the whole experience (trust me you’ll never enjoy a visit here) is disgustingly unashamedly horrible. AVOID at all costs..
