This is for the room only. Cannot comment on the food or bar. See pics, shocking! The room hadnt been hoovered stank of dog and had dog hairs all over. The bed was broken and had one whole divan drawr missing. The bed divan frame had a dirt ring all around it. The mattress had huge stains all over and was brown in places the mattress cover had a huge yelloe stain on it. The stem of tge toilet had urine and pubes stuck to it. Tbe toilet carpet wasnt clean. When the man (not owner, hevwas away) came up he argued that it was good enough and i woukdnt be touching the matress becuase of the sheets. He said he would sleep on it which didnt surprise me as he had 'cleaned' the room. He woukdnt give me money back when said i wanted to leave. Finally when i cried he did. £80 for this disgusting room and bed. Oh and basket bin was broken too. Moved to hotel down the road. Avoid!!!

We popped in for off chance food, staying on the local caravan site. Wow. Lovely welcome, loves dogs, we had 3 dogs in our party! The food was excellent, and the staff were more than amazing on all 3 visits. A hidden gem. Thank you all, so much.

4-star for the room because of unstable water temperature (it burns my skin) and super soft mattress (I got lower back problem) .Super nice staff and services.Pet friendly.

So so bad the service, had main course, waitress didn’t come to ask if we wanted sweet another drink or coffee, she left the dirty dishes on our table, cobwebs flies and dirty glasses, waitress in Bar with the locals, only us in the restaurant. My friends had travelled down and stayed over, was just shocking.

After an absence of about 18months then returned here for Sunday lunch..... What's happened to this place!! It certainly used to be 4 bordering on 5 but not anymore...... Staff friendly but lacking professionalism. Food mediocre....certainly not anywhere near previous standards and quality. Place had become somewhat grubby and cleanliness neglected. Shame......

No soap in the toilet, the hand dryer didn't work and no hot water! And given 2 different prices for the same round! Wouldn’t visit again and especially after the 1 star food hygiene rating luckily we didn’t order food!

My mum, my dog and me stayed here 4 nights and couldn’t have been better! Everything was great, from the staff in the morning and in the evening, to the yummy breakfast, spot on location, super comfortable bed, good size shower… could not fault anything! 100% recommendable if you want to explore Anglesey. Thank you guys! See you soon! ?

We came here as a group of 4 and was pleasantly surprised; having lived in Bangor for many years we are currently residing near llanfairpg and stumbled upon this pub. Food had been shut off at 6 however staff were lovely and we stayed for bingo! Having won the final game we settled down for some pool and some pints. 100% recommend if in the area, as despite not being welsh we felt extremely welcomed. Thank you to the amazing staff!

This is our 2nd stay and we were again equally impressed. Caldwalder room was lovely. Very clean and comfortable. My dogs are always made welcome. We ate in the pub in the evening. The lasagne was the tastier I have ever had. Portion size was good. Breakfast the next day was yummy and I love that it's upto 11am song tearing about. Good location for exploring the island copper mountain, beach, harbour, coastal footpath. We will be back again. Love relaxed, friendly, clean. Thank you for another wonderful stay

Spent one night on journey to Holyhead and on to Ireland. Good location just off main road, and easy to find. Great evening meal and good breakfast. Room adequate with tea making facilities and good comfortable bed.

It was recommended by a friend, stayed in this hotel for two nights in May, room was clean and tidy, reasonable size with a good price. Breakfast was great, except on 26th, been told had to pay an extra for latte(even they were from the same machine?). Asked the staff, been told no hair dryer supplied in the hotel. The owner was quite friendly, had free lattes in the morning on 27th.

Ordered liver & onions with mash, liver was about a quarter of the size of a burger, absolutely solid must have been microwaved twice or more. The waitress was very apologetic and nice . Absolutely the worst meal I have ever had. The Waitress said the restaurant was very quiet, why were we not surprised.

Fanrastic find. Way above expectations, grest value. Attentive, pleasant staff. They even found us chargers when we realised we'd left ours at home. Comfortable room, Victorian pine furniture, great shower. We asked for quiet and all we heard was birdsong. The evening meal we had was a revelation. Even the wine was delicious. Definitely not standard pub food and drink. Would stay again, and would go there to eat again
