We absolutely loved the Christmas dinner served here , food out of this world, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble as we had 2 children in tow , even went to the trouble of getting lovely thoughtful gifts for the children . Amazing meal thank you very much thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

We purchased the 7 course taster menu on a voucher for £89 for 2 diners as it appeared to be a good deal. I appreciate that taster menu courses are small portions but feel these were taken to the extreme. The menu is not known until you arrive so therefore you have to hope you like what is offered. Unfortunately for us the main event was pheasant which is a bit of a niche choice which we did not particularly like. Also, there was a pellet of lead shot in one of our dishes, which while we accept that is not unusual, we were not pre warned that it may be there. The restaurant is only open for 2 hours in the evening (6.30-8.30) which is not enough time to serve 7 courses and we felt very rushed with each course arriving within minutes of the last. Be aware also that a cup of coffee after your meal costs £6. It came with a plate of tiny sweet nibbles but they were not advertised or particularly wanted but maybe that is how they can justify the coffee price. The venue itself has no ambiance and is very dated in appearance. The carpark is across the road with no lighting and a very uneven and muddy surface, making it difficult to negotiate on a wet winters night. Overall, we enjoyed most of our food but felt that even on a discount voucher we could not justify what we had paid for the whole experience and will therefore not be returning.

Tucked away on the Herefordshire, Adergavenny boarder is this lovely restaurant, were you can get to sample wonderful local food to a very high standard. We had the taster menu, seven courses of well executed food with an autumnal theme to them all. The service was excellent, nothing to much trouble. There was a good selection of wine, however I do like to see some local ones if possible, Radlow Hundred we stayed over night accommodation good, it is help yourself Breakfast but plenty of chose, not cooked, we had to be out by 9.30am, but it is family run so I can appreciate all hands to the pump. Over all I will be going back as I do love good food.

We had the lunchtime tasting menu. It was delicious and well-proportioned. Service was attentive and friendly, but not over-bearing. Other a la carte options and the set menu also looked very tempting. A pleasant venue in a lovely part of the world. Highly recommended.
