A small but friendly café run by friendly, caring people. A great place to go for a bite to eat and good conversation. Dogs are welcome, and often get a little treat. One of the staff is even learning Welsh to accomodate Welsh speaks like myself. If that isn’t good service, then I don’t know what is!

The food, the coffee and the atmosphere in George's was superb..the two girls that run the kitchen create an unbelievable atmosphere, they add warmth to the place..fast service with a jovial smile made us,( two midlanders) feel like one of the locals..I strongly advice you to savour the delights of this little wonderful cafe..Thank you girls..

We were greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome from the outset, and we enjoyed some generous slices of their delicious lemon drizzle, which was duly washed down by " mugs " of hot chocolate, with marshmallows. George's Cafe hugely contrasts with the " tourist " prices, portions and menus on offer in Castle Street and near to the Bridge. We will be back. Diolch yn fawr. Andy and Wendy. Bala.

Very friendly staff, excellent food, good coffee! Vegetarian options, salads, paninis, cakes, scones, jacket potatoes.

The owner was incredibly rude whilst me and a couple friends had sat down to eat you could hear him complaining in the back saying how it’s too busy and we need to wait ( in a aggressive manner) but not directly speaking to us just having a go at his co worker which I assume was out of stress, but still highly unprofessional. In the end we had coffee’s to go simply because we did not want to hear the abuse which was being said about us or any other customers.

Can't fault it. Very welcoming on a cold winters day from Staff as well as Patrons. Excellent food at a good price. I'd go out of my way to return!

I am a regular user of George’s Cafe. The service is lovely and friendly as are the staff. The coffee is without doubt the best in Llangollen and the cakes are to die for. It is not a big space, but the food and drinks are great and there is a very welcoming atmosphere for all customers. I would like to suggest that one or two of the reviews here are malicious in intent - certainly their comments to the reality that I have witnessed over the last 5 years!

I went here with a friend and George is very unprofessional, and the cafe itself is not hygienic, crumbs and stains on tables. We also witnessed him looking and acting inappropriately with a young female of high school age, after witnessing this and just the whole experience I shall not be returning to this cafe and most definitely do not recommend people to visit.

George I believe his name is, is incredibly rude to customers and is short tempered, the cafe is very unhygienic the floor is a mess and so is the tables ( crumbs and dirt all over the floor and on the tables coffee sticky stairs crumbs etc), he is also very inappropriate to customers and I also saw him looking at the younger female who works there in a rude manner. I will not be returning to George’s cafe after this experience again.

We popped into this cafe for a spot of lunch after our walk along the River Dee in Llangollen. We had sandwiches, fruit scone with jam and clotted cream and a slice of Bara Brith which is Welsh spiced tea loaf with butter and washed down with a pot of tea for two. Food and service were excellent and all at reasonable prices. A welcome break when revisiting the area after many years living in the South West.
