Asked if they allowed dogs and was told yes but they didn’t have “room” for us despite there being a free table. Very rude and condescending staff. Avoid at all costs. There are nicer cafes in the area.

After a great hike up, siabod, and on our way back to conwy, we decided to give Contessa a try.We had tea, coffee, 2 cold drinks and 2 Large breakfasts... they went down a treat.Nice and simple food menu with a great selection of hot drinks.

The cafe opens at 9 30am on Saturdays not 9am as per Google or 8.30 as per trip advisor. Lovley breakfast ?

We like this caffi a lot, and the soup and brown bread was delicious. We normally have one of the speciality teas - Turkish apple or Blood orange. Lovely. And the toasted teacakes and Bara Brith are nice too. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. It's not open on market days and parking in the square can be a problem.

Popped in on the way back from our stay in a nearby cottage, we have never been here before so it's always a bit of a gamble. Ordered a regular breakfast and when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of food on the plate which was extremely well presented, lovely clean looking food and the taste was exceedingly good. I would rate it as one of the best breakfasts I've ever eaten and to top it off, the tea they served was a nice cup of Yorkshire tea. Would highly recommend this place to eat.
I went here for the first time today it was late in the afternoon and asked if we could have breakfast they said yes it was absolutely beautiful eggs sausage black pudding mushrooms and beans and we had a glass of home made lemonade we sat outside the staff where very friendly and the cafe was clean and tidy we all had breakfast
