Choice of beef, pork which was plated with roast potatoes, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage & crackling if desired. Self service for peas, sprouts, carrots and gravy. We stopped here on the way from Porthmadog to Abergavenny, in the hope of finding a light lunch. We were offered a menu with lots of choices, and chose ham sandwiches. They were soon made and were delicious - good ham and fresh bread. The landlord and his wife were very pleasant and friendly. Next time, we will try to time our visit to coincide with the Sunday carvery, which looked incredibly good value. While we were there, a couple came in and asked if they could use the toilet, Having done so, they walked out again without buying so much as a packet of crisps! How can people be so insensitive?
