55 High St, Builth WellsFantastic food and service, we loved the wide choices on the menu and the cosy atmosphere. There are only two vegetarian options on the menu but they're both amazing. The Tali was copious and mild, and the orange cauliflower was not too sweet and crispy with couscous. They did a a special dish for us for an extra evening which was greatly appreciated. Easily the best evening meal in town but do book, it's popular!

13 High St, Builth WellsWent in wet from a day on the motorbikes with five other lads. Even though it was busy, they managed to sort us a table. All the staff are spot on, the atmosphere was good.... Food even better!! Food was well worth the money. All left struggling to get a bike gear back on... My mate perfectly depicted the meal portions ?

Station Cres, Llandrindod WellsFood was delicious, the staff were so lovely and friendly. It was quiet when we initially went in but got busier after 12. Really enjoyed our meal here and the kids can't wait to come back
Vegetarian options: The macaroni cheese was really good, and there were other options for vegetarians too
Kid-friendliness: The staff were lovely to my kids and gave them plenty of options for food to cater for various appetites. They were really chatty and friendly and gave the kids reading and colouring books as soon as we sat down

I was last here 40+ years ago for the Man v horse race so enjoyed all the photos on the walls.

The Drovers Rest Riverside Restaurant
Dolecoed Rd, Llanwrtyd WellsWe’ve just had such a lovely meal at Drovers Rest. The food was excellent quality and really good value for money. The chef even popped out to say hello, which was a really nice touch. The service was spot on from start to finish, and the complimentary glasses of prosecco and a fresh rose on the way out made it feel extra special. The cute Valentine’s decor just topped off a great evening.

Enormous selection of cakes and bakes, light bites menu, daily specials and afternoon tea (book in advance for this)
The decor is so charming with lots of original features from Victorian times and they have made it so cosy with varied welcoming sofas in one area and crisp white table cloths in the other. There are even warm blankets provided for sitting at the covered outside tables. The staff are wonderful, really welcoming, so helpful and just the right amount of chatty. Was told they only opened in May 2025, so glad to have discovered this place!

Middleton St, Llandrindod WellsI don't normally write reviews but having seen the one star review whilst looking for the menu online I felt I had to leave a review.
We too had a Salt and Pepper share box and it was lovely. Lots of food and it was all really well cooked, lightly battered, the chicken was fresh and tasty.
Great salt and pepper flavouring that the Golden Dragon prepares and the onions add to the flavour.
As always, a great takeaway, thank you Golden Dragon! ?

Station Rd, Builth WellsWhat can I say about this place, it is awesome, they had these things called sausage rolls, which are very difficult to describe. A sausage roll, is one of Greggs’ most iconic items, is a roll of puff pastry wrapped around a long, thin piece of seasoned ground meat (kind of like a soft, spiced meat filling). It’s baked until the pastry is crispy and the inside is hot and flavorful. The meat in the centre is something that Gregg's invented and they called it sausage.

4 West St, Builth WellsStopped here while passing through on the rac rally 2 of us both had a pizza, very tasty standard kebab shop pizza no Michelin star food but warm tasty and did its job, staff pleasant and friendly so I left happy.
