This little deli is incredible! We stopped in here for a pastie and came back for sandwiches the next day. I was totally shocked by how cheap and tasty everything we ate was. £3.50 for one of the best toasties I’ve ever had!

Cannot fault the food quality and flavours BUT: they ran out of bread before 1.30pm and this is a bakery! OK it was market day and school holidays but market day comes once a week and school holidays a few times a year so they shoud have been better prepared; food labels illegible. Surely they must be fed up of repeating what things are time after time. Get them typed or written more legibly, PLEASE! they shut at 4pm. A place that serves food and tea and cakes shutting at 4pm! So realistically you would need to be in there before 3.30 to enjoy tea and cake in the afternoon and that really is a bit early. 4pm close and on a market day in the school hols. Not really good enough.

Walking through Machynlleth earlier today, passed Blasau and noticed the sign announcing pizza night. Orded two pizzas over the phone (from the diverse list on the FB page) and 15 minutes later collected two delicious pizzas. Great base and toppings. Really pleased with the quality and value for money. Thank you!

Had a nice lunch but got some veggie strudel to take away for our walk the next day and I still can’t stop thinking about it ?

On a cold day we stoped for a light lunch. A full tea pot A toasted cheese sandwich with bacon with local brown bread. Very tasty and good value, my wife had a vegetarian pie which she also raved about. Extremely good value and worth every penny

a group of 10 of us visited the town yesterday and wanting to ensure that we had a good lunch, 3 of us broke away from the main party and came here. A mistake. We should have turned round when we walked downstairs and it was chilly. But we ordered (no chips, the fryer had broken). My wife had a Welsh rarebit which was good. I had a sausage roll which wasn't and we both had a scone which tasted fine but didn't have any currants. And then a huge pot of tea which was weak and by the time it had brewed was cold.

What's so special? I don't understand the good reviews about this place. It's basic overcooked goods. Pastry is rock hard.. sandwiches are on sawdust bread. Dryer than a nuns private parts. Overpriced drinks and staff who stress when 2 customers want to order. This is a below average bakery in a rubbish village with no competition. All hype, but under delivers. If you want sandwich or a dry pizza, allow aboutb25 minutes.

Fabulous variety of lunches to suit everybody. The rarebit with chicken was tasty, generous portion. Lovely pot of tea and lovely fine china tea cups and saucers. All take away food at Deli counter looked so good, asked for coleslaw as it had all gone and the lady kindly made up a portion for me which I took home, again very tasty. Staff very pleasant. Will definitely call when in area. Wish I was living nearer. Well done
