Restaurants in Machynlleth

Y Llew Coch - Mach (The Red Lion Machynlleth Town)
11 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethMy family of 3 each ordered a different panini each (BLT, Steak & gravy & coronation chicken). They were absolutely delicious. The bread perfectly toasted and gravy was fantastic on the steak one that I ordered. I also ordered the homemade cream of mushroom soup and that was so very tasty. My son dipped his cheesy garlic bread he ordered in ot as well ?.
Service was with a smile. We will definitely be back.
Vegetarian options: There are veggie & vegan options on the menu. Something for everyone.

Riverside Hotel Pennal
Pennal, MachynllethI booked for a party of 13 on the weekend to celebrate 2 birthdays, not eaten here for 7 years as I moved out of the area slightly but all of us again had a great meal, we pre ordered so made it easier for chefs I’m a chef myself so I know how grateful a pre order is for a large table! Staff were lovely, lovely beer garden and we could keep an eye on the younger child from the sun room, definitely will be back again soon thank you glan yr afon

Gwen Restaurant and Wine Bar
21 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethGood quality fine dining in an uniquely intimate setting: two four-seat tables in view of the pass. After a drink in the front wine bar, proceed through the curtain to the dining room at the rear. The food was very good overall, with highlights including trout with a champagne sabayon, Korean fried quail, and a cherry miso muffin with marshmallow.
Many restaurants claim to be intimate, but you can’t get much more intimate than eight seats huddled around the pass. The tables are communal, so expect to chat to the others who share your table. If you don’t want to talk to strangers, find three (or seven) friends to go with you and you’ll have a great time
Parking: Large car park across the road. Street parking also available

Caffi Alys
Canolfan Owain, Glyndwr, Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethVisited this cafe for the first time on Wednesday and very much enjoyed our visit.\\nI particularly liked that they had a base price for breads, jacket potatoes etc and you chose your toppings which were all individually priced. My friend is vegetarian and had lots of choice too. My jacket potato was yummy, lots of butter, with cheese and bacon and some cherry tomatoes with seasoning on, they were delicious. My friend had hummus and red onion on her sani.\\nWe also had tea and a cappuccino. I liked that there were obviously regulars dotted about with their laptops, bodes well. Only downside, I initially sat on a very soft sofa and sank in so beware of that if you are not so mobile as getting out was fun! Lovely friendly smiley lady with dark hair served us. Would recommend ?

Town Kebab House
49 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethI always try to find good clean food that's been cooked and recieved in the best possible manner. I can definitely say that I felt these standards had been met by Town Kebab House. I had a half pound cheese burger and had specific needs. All was taken care of. I will most definitely be visiting again. A* thanks.

Shilam Tandori (Machynlleth)
Maglona House, Penrallt St, MachynllethThe food here is very typically British version of 'Indian' so you'll know what to expect. It's all made pretty well and the server on the night we were in was very personable- he even put on Asian music to replace the British Rock that was on when we arrived. Lighting is bright and quite glaring. All that said I'd be happy to go back for a Ruby!
