Riverside Hotel Pennal
Pennal, MachynllethFirst time we have revisited for a meal since it has reopened. The staff were really lovely and the food was excellent.If you are going to have a simple menu, it has to be beautifully cooked, and it was gorgeous.We would thoroughly recommend.

13 Penrallt St, MachynllethThis little deli is incredible! We stopped in here for a pastie and came back for sandwiches the next day. I was totally shocked by how cheap and tasty everything we ate was. £3.50 for one of the best toasties I’ve ever had!

Gwen Restaurant and Wine Bar
21 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethAfter dining at Gareth's main restaurant for my birthday last year I thought I'd try Gwen. I wasn't disappointed, everything about the place was fantastic, the food, the service, the atmosphere! Very intimate but very friendly, everything prepared in front of us whilst talking to the chef. The cocktails were excellent as was the recommended wine. I can't recommend it enough, will definitely be going back!

Canolfan Owain, Glyndwr, Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethVisited this cafe for the first time on Wednesday and very much enjoyed our visit.\\nI particularly liked that they had a base price for breads, jacket potatoes etc and you chose your toppings which were all individually priced. My friend is vegetarian and had lots of choice too. My jacket potato was yummy, lots of butter, with cheese and bacon and some cherry tomatoes with seasoning on, they were delicious. My friend had hummus and red onion on her sani.\\nWe also had tea and a cappuccino. I liked that there were obviously regulars dotted about with their laptops, bodes well. Only downside, I initially sat on a very soft sofa and sank in so beware of that if you are not so mobile as getting out was fun! Lovely friendly smiley lady with dark hair served us. Would recommend ?

Dolgelynen Farmhouse
Machynlleth, PowysWe recently stayed at Dolgelynen 20 years ago and this was our first time back since.It is a beautiful location with stunning views over the dyfi river and valley.Mrs Evans is a very friendly and welcoming person on arrival you get a traditional Welsh welcome with refreshments and home made Welsh cakes before showing you to your room.It is a traditional farmhouse that is unchanged from the last time we visited, Mrs Evans takes great pride in offering customer satisfaction right throughout it is immaculately clean, the beds are amazingly comfortable and the Welsh breakfast is delicious.We love this place and look forward to our next visit again.I would highly recommend anyone to visit and enjoy the experience

39 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethWe had lunch twice at the café the week of our holiday from 23rd September 2023. We were very impressed and are happy to recommend it to other visitors to Machynlleth. The food is freshly cooked, so you may have to wait for a reasonable time. The portions are generous and we thought the food was of a high quality. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The service is efficient efficient and friendly. There is a good selection of cakes too.

123 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethAfter a day out at dyfi bike park this is exactly what i needed. Crispy cod with a good portion of chips, served by friendly staff. Can't argue with the good price and was served up in good time. Keep up the good work team!

Clay Bakery cafe
Bakery, 14 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethWe enjoyed lovely sweet potato soup, hot drinks and mars bar cakes to take home. The portions of soup were very big and delicious. The total cost was around £20 which we thought was excellent. The staff working at Clay Bakery were so friendly and welcoming too.

13 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethWonderful place to have drinks or food. Lovely cake. Didn't eat today. Just had coffee by their amazing barista. She knows her coffee for sure.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a fully equipped disabled loo on ground floor although I don't need one.Fully welcoming of dogs be that to help those who have disability or not. Water always provided for them. Just ask if no bowl present during visit.

Town Kebab House
49 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethFrom out of town and was looking for halal food. Came across the kebab house and was pleased to find good food. Ordered a few chicken kebab wraps and it was delicious. Would highly recommend.

40 Heol Maengwyn, MachynllethVisited here over new year when staying for a holiday and not liking the menu at the local pubs. There’s nothing that I could fault with my salt and pepper chips or sweet and sour chicken, and therefore giving it a 5* rating.

Shilam Tandori (Machynlleth)
Maglona House, Penrallt St, MachynllethThe food here is very typically British version of 'Indian' so you'll know what to expect. It's all made pretty well and the server on the night we were in was very personable- he even put on Asian music to replace the British Rock that was on when we arrived. Lighting is bright and quite glaring. All that said I'd be happy to go back for a Ruby!
