Excellent food and great service in a very welcoming and cheerful atmosphere. Burgers were delicious and home-made goats cheese bites were the perfect starter. Highly recommended!

My first visit to Murray's Grill House. A cosy diner with a kitchen feel.My welcome to Murray's was by host and owner, Sylwia Katarzyna, it felt more like a greeting from a family friend than a mere welcome to dine.Seated in the 'green room', a simple dining space, created by using old rough cut chipboard panels, sanded to reveal a rich wood grain and varnished to a high honey finish. The kitchen walls, a collage of recycled pine logs, that give it a rustic, yet modern twist. Warm and inviting, a place to relax and wind down.Sylwia brought me some warm homemade garlic bread twists to sample, and recommended I should try a traditional starter of Pierogi ((Polish dumplings) made with fresh unleavened dough and filled with a warm gooey rich cheese. They were a perfect start to stimulate the taste buds for the next course. The Murray special mixed meat roll, a homemade flatbread generously filled with marinated chicken and lamb, served with a clean fresh salad and three delicate homemade dressings of garlic, mint and chilli - all freshly cooked from scratch and hot delivered to the table, a moment of zing and foodie enjoyment.A young couple were celebrating a birthday. Sylwia, after serving their courses presented them with a complimentary shot of Soplica (Cherry Vodka) and a piece of traditional chocolate cake drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce. I was also given the same pallete teaser as way of being part of the special evening - a lovely gesture I thought! With a pint of beer, and my two courses, I paid less than £20. A great value for money supper and generous portions as my waistline could testify after I had finished up.I would recommend a visit to Murray's Grill House without a second thought, Sylwia made my first visit an absolute culinary and convivial pleasure.I will certainly be coming back and bringing my family and friends along. It would be far too selfish not to share this place with your loved ones and also share a family sized platter of Murray's finest fayre. As we say here in Wales, until next time we meet - Da boch chi.Diolch yn Fawr Sylwia ??Parking: Murray's located opposite local authority pay&display. Only £1 all day (Saturday) Free all day (Sunday) and free parking after 18.00hrs (weekdays)Kid-friendliness: Family-run business that welcomes families with children.Wheelchair accessibility: Basic wheelchair access through main entrance. Murray's is a ground floor restaurant all on one level.

Such a great meal! The owners are super sweet and they bring their true love and care to every single aspect to the restaurants, from menu to service. It is a great treat for any hikers who finished Brecon Beacons! Highly recommended!

Sylwia made us feel the most welcome. She explained how she makes everything from scratch, to include all of the breads. We had a 12inch pizza and the meaty roll, a personal creation of the owner. We were blown away by the flavors, quality of the food and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Honestly some of the best food I have ever ate couldn’t suggest more , the bread was freshly braked and meat in the kebab was in a beautiful tomato sauce giving it a Italian twist , and the pizza was just perfect fresh crispy dough with lovely fresh mozerella and a brilliant tomato sauce ,, portion size was perfect. Hats off Murray’s a wonderful takeaway

Paid for large chips and cheese.. if this is a large, I dread to think what their small looks like. Ribs were nice and the dessert was nice. Really let the rating down by those chips, they cost £5 (most expensive cheese and chips in Merthyr) yet the smallest portion I’ve ever seen of a “large”
