I think that the food at Pentrebach is very good but the reason why I am writing this review is to commend the excellent kind service of Bethan the young lady that served me at the bar. I had a very long hard day checking my 94 year old mother into her new local Aged Care home and arrived after the kitchen had closed. I explained the situation and she kindly with a fabulous smile persuaded the kitchen to make me 2 plates of chicken wings to eat in my Premiere hotel room. This might seem a small thing that Bethan did for me but it was huge kind gesture and I think the Management should recognise this staff member because she is an excellent representative of your brand and another good reason why I continue to only use premiere hotel throughout the Uk Kind regards Mark Jordan Gold Coast Australia

Do not book a Christmas dinner here.really terrible service .and food , when we arrived we were told to help our selves to our free drinks , supposed to be bucks fizz but they must have run out , there were two glasses of flat prosecco, and some orange juices . Then we didn't see anybody until our starters , nobody came round to ask did we want drinks by the bar like they usually do.they couldn't be bothered . Then an hour later they fetched our Christmas dinner which was poor quality ,the turkey was like it was out of a packet .then another hour later they fetched our desert . The only time we seen anyone was when they fetched our food . No table service at all.we spent nearly £300 pounds for that.

Came on Christmas Day which was booked months before, had the 3pm slot. When we arrived there was no glasses of Prosecco left, the only thing was left was apple juice and orange juice. We didn’t have hardly no serivce and there was no atmosphere like it did the year before. We waited nearly an hour for our starter to arrive, which was always one in our party waiting, the prawn cocktail arrived with about 5 prawns, no sauce and mostly lettuce. Then we waited another hour for our Christmas dinner, the children’s meals was meant to be raindeer burgers and chips and vegetables but it came out burger and roast potatoes which the children doesn’t like and the main reason of ordering the burger was for the chips so the children’s food was ruined, one person in the party had mostly swede mash than anything else, it didn’t even come with a Yorkshire pudding,the afters was awful, we previously came two weeks before for the Christmas menu and the afters was exactly the same then but way cheaper. For Christmas Day I expect to have good quality food and great service like the previeous year. This year they had poor quality of food and terrible service which was really disappointing. it looks like they ran out of everything and we had the scraps. We spent £300+ and are regulars, really disappointed this year, Please do better

Went for Christmas dinner on arrival we supposed to get buck fizz but because our table was book for 3.00 only 2 presco left not enough for all adult in party starters what can I say few had prawn cocktail salad only spot the prawn and no sauce nearly all lettace tomatoe soup was nice though then dinner came after an hour of waiting and one member of our party was missing a yorkshire pudding and more root mash then anything then the kids meal raindeer burger and chips with choice of 2 veg it arrived with no chips no veg they must have run out of chip so they must have replaced with roast potatoes bare in mind my children wouldn't eat roast potatoes that why i pick the raindeer burger because it came with chip NOT roast potatoes the staff was friendly when we seen them we even left and they didn't even know we left because the service was not service but the year 2022 we had a fab time how things change in a matter of a year so disappointed cause the meal cost £56.99 per head we should have complained over there but it being Christmas day we thought we send email instead but not one reply we haven't heard a thing for table table

The food here is lovely. The staff are friendly and nice, if a little lazy. The only problem and it is a big problem is it is so disorganised. There seems to be things going wrong constantly. As someone who has managed restaurants in the past, problems happen, but it is run sloppily here. Some members if staff seem to do the job of 5 people whenever I go here while others don't even do their own job most of the time. If you can't do every aspect or won't do every aspect of the job description, you don't deserve to have the job.

The staff were very accommodating, they got us a table straight away without a booking. Rachel, our server, was very welcoming and attentive. The food and drinks were delivered quickly. Good value for money and good service. Would highly recommend to others.

Lovely place, wecoming, fast service, staff always there if a another drink is required. I gave the food 4 stars because my main course, a beef lasagna, was not as hot as it usually is.
