Unfortunately they weren't doing food this particular day, however I asked if there was a local ice-cream shop so my son could have a treat, there wasn't one open so they let him have one for free from the restaurant so he didn't go without. Not many people like this about anymore. Fantastic. Really

Stopped for a quick pint on our way home from Chepstow. A great selection of real ales and modern, fashionable A/IPAs. The food menu looks very appealing and will factor this in on our next visit.

Fabulous ale house pub with some nice comfortable, dog-friendly rooms above. Parking on street right outside, as long as you leave early. In the middle of Monmouth. Felt good.
