Upper Meend Farm, MonmouthWe booked a take away slot as we couldn’t book a person slot. The food was ready right on time so there was no extra waiting. The burgers were excellent, very juicy and flavourful. The honey beef tots were good. The brisket was juicy and not dry. The flavouring on the tots was not really noticeable so hard to say how they taste on their own. The ranch fries were alright. The sauce was good but the seasoning again was very subtle, almost plain.
This place was very good however and i would come back for the burgers alone!

The Castle Inn
7 Twyn Square, UskVisited this gem of a fund twice this weekend whilst visiting the area. On the first visit I had their absolutely delicious gnocchi (only regret was not asking for a little bit of bread to mop up the last of the sauce). The following day I visited with my elderly mother for Sunday Lynch. Again I had an excellent meal, slow road blade of beef with all the trimmings. As a bonus it was nice to see my mum take down one of the local bar flies in a piece of very good natured banter, much to the amusement of his mates.

Coffi Lab Monmouth
80-82 Monnow St, MonmouthFamily of four called in here on our way past as it had good reviews and was open past 4pm! So glad we did, we had coffee, iced matcha and chai with cakes and cookies - all delicious and served by really friendly staff. There's a great ambience, stylish courtyard, chilled background music and a clean toilet that smelt pleasant. Highly recommended.

Rockfield Rd, MonmouthThis is my second time having Fish and chips from this place and it doesn't dissapoint. Served by a georeous young Indian chap who was so lovely. Food amazing and perfectly cooked. Spotlessly clean and friendly atmosphere.

MonmouthWe happened upon The Whitebrook and Chef Chris graciously made room for 2 more for the 9 course Tasting Menu. What a wonderful experience. Manuel and the other staff were so very helpful and the meals were a wonder. Highly recommend!

The Castle Inn
Zion St, Ebbw Valewe went tonight for my husbands 60th birthday. the chicken skewers were undercooked ( starter) steak pie was a plate full of gravy with meat and 2 lumps of cheese hidden under a pastry top.vegetables were soggy and cold and chips burnt. the castle burger was brick like, with no pulled pork within it served with a small portion of burnt chips. the other meals were equally horrendous which was annoying as we had waited 1 1/2 hours. We asked for the desert menu and was provided with 1 menu for 8 people. After waiting a further 30 minutes for service we decided to cancel and ask for the bill and were told the machine wasn't working. I manually worked out the bill and paid. We were not alone with the disappointment and definitely will not return anytime soon. So many better places to eat locally.

Commerce House, 95-97 Monnow St, MonmouthGreat food, drink and atmosphere. Staff were all super friendly. I’m pleased they’ve changed the chairs and tables from the lead google picture which made it look like a child’s nursery, much nicer now. Loved it!

Market Hall, Priory St, MonmouthSunday 16th June 24. Walking up to the full house following the beautiful smells, Ordered Singapore fried rice, spring rolls Kung po sauce and prawn crackers. The lady who took my order was very polite very cool calm and seemed very well organised.
The waiting area was very clean and reasonably comfortable. Plenty of customers coming and going. And after sampling the food I ordered I can see why they are so busy. Everything was cooked to perfection and was super mouth watering tasty. 5 stars all the way. I will be going back for more, and I would highly recommend it to others.
