Good choice of Beers, some still from the Autumn Beer Festival, unfortunately the 2 nd pint i had there was Flat,Food we had was good, service quick and efficient again as in most Wetherspoons Establishments, not enough Staff serving behind the Bar at peak times!!

Nice building friendly staff but since covid the menu has shrunk and they seem to have less healthy food no sunday roast .

Room was much bigger better than we imagined, when we walked in we immediately wondered if we had in fact been upgraded? still not sure, and nothing was said. Might be a little harsh on the service but when we arrived there was no signage obvious to us where reception was? the main door we got to gave us no clues, so I looked after the bags in the entrance hall and my wife when to find someone to ask. Apparantly there is another door to the main reception a little further around the building. There happened to be a team meeting going so there was a slight delay in being seen. Location wise it is where we wanted but no Spoons car park - and the nearest long stay was a bit of a walk away with the luggage. However, we later found out that the nearer short stay enabled you to purchase eg a 4 hour ticket which if you purchased at just after 4pm say would stop counting at 6pm through to 8am and restart giving you until 10am if you were wanting to either move on or put another few hrs on or move it to a 24hr long stay etc..

Amazing to still be serving food at 9.30 on a wet Sunday night. TBH, the food could have been much better, but we were just grateful to get it after a strenuous walk from Chepstow in the pouring rain.Food & drinks: Roadside cafe quality food but with beer....beer was good ?

How do they do it, we visited this Wetherspoons and only decided to have a drink, £3.09p for a pint of Guinness, £2.02 for a pint of bitter, if they can do that why do we pay £6.95 for Guinness and £5+ for bitter anywhere else, we then decided to eat, the prices are exceptional, a meal and a pint for £8+ whenever we travel now and want a pint and a meal, I'll be looking out for Wetherspoons...absolutely brilliant..

Chips and onion rings were at just above room temperature, and the burger was dry as you like. I don’t think I’ve had a more “Wetherspoons” Wetherspoons. Met my expectations to the T; it’s nice to see consistency across the franchise and it felt like a home away from home. Cheap food, quick table service with very little interaction from the unsmiling staff. You know what you get with Spoons and you can’t fault them for it. 5 stars all round ??

Popped in here for a quick drink whilst we waited for our Taxi. The place is massive! Rooms upon rooms upon floors upon rooms!Usually great range of beers and chatty staff.

Decent spoons. Toilets arent up 200000 steps so that's a plus. 7/10 times the eggs are runny.pour a decent Guinness ?

Have been using the bar/restaurant for many years on our recent visit we could not understand why all the food menu’s had been removed from the tables but the drinks lists were still on the tables.I asked one of the staff why and he didn’t know just a new rule he said but everyone is asking us for a menu.We then saw the menu’s stacked in a rack rear of pub is this progress because iam 80 years of age & I don’t use the dreaded APP to order my food.

Unfortunately didn't get correct burger .I ordered one with bacon and cheddar cheese ( premium burger )but got one with gherkin ? American cheese and mustard.I'm not going to send it back to get a spit burger back b4 you ask why I didn't mention it at the time. Your staff need to work out which burger is which , it's not difficult just look at the menu. Serving staff were nice has to be said.

Wetherspoons so great choice of beer, quick food service with ham, egg and chips all fine and dessert of warm brownie excellent. Nice location in Monmouth. Large pub with plenty of seating. Busy for a Thursday evening.

A well run Wetherspoons Hotel and pub. It is a historic building full of character. As in most Wetherspoons, you will find pictures and interesting information about the history of the building and the town, adorning the walls of the pub. Paid parking is a short walk away in a public car park. You can drop your bags outside before parking.

The room was large and comfortable. The location is excellent. Very nice young man checked us in and gave us all necessary information. We were then left to our own devices, though we could go into the bar if we required assistance.I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others.

I have been eating at different JDW for twenty years. This place served the worst food I have ever had at a JDW. How do you burn Pasta Alfredo?. Portion size is shocking, and now very poor value for money. I will not eat at another weatherspoons.
