Sorry it’s a bit late we ate at your pub on 8/03/24. We had just moved our caravan to Argae Hall site. And it was my partners birthday on the Sunday but we were only till the Saturday so I treated him to a meal at your lovely pub. The staff were fantastic and so was the service. The meal was out of this world my partner had the pie of day which was one of best pies he has ever eaten. I had the Feathered Beef again was the best I’ve eaten. And the cheesecake was to die for ?? The staff were very friendly wishing my partner for his upcoming birthday ?

Been wanting to visit for a while as menu looked very inviting. Not disappointed.Had a chance to break a journey and meet two different friends in one weekend.Only criticism table i was given for my evening meal had no light, it was draughty when main two doors were opened and hole from bar behind me.Excellent service from staff all round. My single room was ample with a lovely big shower. Tv was a bit hit & miss on certain channels, but found something to watch. Continental breakfast came with the room. You could pay for various cooked breakfast.Nearby activities: Hotel is in good location to visit Garthmyl Hall, Glansevern Gardens, Berriew, Montgomery, Kings Nurseries, Powis Castle. Many local intetesting villages.Food & drinks: Good range of gins and other drinks from the bar.

Our experience at The Nags Head , Welshpool today was very disappointing! I had pre booked a table for Sunday Lunch ! We waited over an hour for our roast dinner ! Veg on plates were cool and veg on side dish were very under cooked ! Difficult to understand as they didn’t appear to be busy !!! Shall not return !!!

Booked Sunday lunch as a treat . 1st course was good with good portion of meat .Desert was big disappointment as Elton mess was served without any cream ! Sour fruit and hard lumps of meringue… very strange how that left the kitchen .

Me and my partner found this place through looking online. It is 100% 5/5 stars! we rang up querying booking a table. we were told we didnt need to book and could turn up. Thats what we did and we were seated straight away. The women that served us were very polite and always at service between courses. The prices are absolutely worth it! I would not say this is the usual pub grub, but absolutely stunning! we will definitely be returning if we are in the area again! :)

Only this good about this place is the view dealt with a woman who was extremely rude called Aga or something like that no manners at all will never visit there again whilst in wales !!!

Stayed overnight recently, lovely pub, excellent food, lovely room, very freindly staff, my only observation if I was being picky was the mattress, not that comfy, shame because everything else was spot on.

Service was very good, the personal were very friendly and we’re making sure we had anything we need.Although my starter the prawn cocktail wasn’t my favorite my fish and chips were delicious big portion batter was crunchy and perfectly golden, chips and mushy peas all was very good didn’t take a picture because I was to exited and couldn’t wait to eat. Overall a good service and food.

We went for Christmas lunch at the nagshead Garthmyl. We were very disappointed.Four of us ordered turkey. We were first in the restaurant at 12.00.When the meal arrived at our tables. The turkey looked too thick to eat.We were in disbelief. When ordering we asked what veg comes with the dinner. We were told we had to pay extra.Red cabbage came on our plateWe left our foodWe had Christmas pudding..when that arrived it was a small portion with a few red berries on top.We walked out after paying a big bill.I was sheer embarrassed. The waitress was new that day.The meat looked like it had been thrown on our platesNever will I recommend that place to eat.At that price, there were two glasses of wine and 3 coffees. They should go to the lakeside to see how it is run.We all were let down.It is the first review I have written with a disappointing out comeFood & drinks: See my review

Our family of 12 went for Xmas dinner, with members of our family having various intolerances and one recently diagnosed as Type 1 diabetic.Throughout Dec we had many phone conversations, emails etc to ensure everything went smoothly on the day, which it did.On arrival we were greeted by the manager and shown to our table, all he meals were delicious and everything was served promptly and efficiently,Many thanks to AGA and the staff at the Nags Head Inn.
