Mellington Hall Country House Hotel
Mellington, MontgomeryThe site management were friendly and helpful, the grounds are excellently maintained and the hall and food was delicious! All staff we met were friendly, professional and attentive towards guests. We stayed in the caravan touring park for 4nts and it was lovely even if the weather let us down. Very dog friendly place and the dog walks are perfect. Would highly recommend and we will be back!!!

Castle Kitchen
8 Broad St, MontgomeryA must visit every time I visit family near Montgomery. Wonderful tasty food, that is carefully and lovingly prepared. I'm a total salad dodger, but the green and carrot salads that accompany some of the lunch options have me salivating just thinking about them! Great cake too, of course ? which always fortifies us for the walk up Town Hill! Marvellous menu. Thank you

The Abermule Inn
B4386, Abermule, MontgomeryLiterally blown away by the food here! We had no idea what to expect after reading some previous reviews. This wasn’t pub grub it was much better than that. Jake is clearly loving his job. His passion shows in the flavours on the plate. Initial drinks, 3 courses and wine was exceptional value. Absolutely loved it here and cannot recommend it enough!

Ivy House Cafe & Post Office
Church Bank, MontgomeryA wonderful local gem. Post office and tiny cafe, combined.
A simple menu of bacon, egg or sausage sandwiches with a long list of home-baked cakes (all delicious).
Very cosy, dogs extremely welcome (always treats available and usually they can have their own slice of bacon if you ask…) a selection of daily papers available to read. Very relaxed.
It’s one person running the whole show so sometimes you have to wait, but that’s part of its charm.

Montgomery Fish Bar
Broad St, MontgomeryGreat little F&C shop. Owner is Turkish I believe and very friendly. We had three Cod and Chips. All freshly cooked, nice size portions, not expensive. Lovely location, nice eating on the benches outside. Took a load of chips home for later!
