“This was our first visit to the Horse & Jockey since moving to the area. When we arrived it was very busy, but we were seated pretty quickly and the staff were chatty and had a great sense of humour despite being rushed off their feet. The meal was fantastic - we both had the same main course of slow roasted pork belly, with black pudding, red cabbage and mashed potatoes. Huge portions! It was good to have a choice of alcohol-free ciders (I was driving) and my husband was spoilt for choice with plenty of beers and ciders to choose from. There was also live music (two guys from the band The Now) who did a great set of rock covers. We'll definitely be back soon.”
