Usually come here and it’s great but today was a totally different story with one member of staff being so incredibly rude. Asked for a coffee and a shortbread, the guy behind the counter gave me the wrong one and I went back and asked if he could swap it. No problem right? Apparently not. He proceeded to shout at me (he was so aggressive it actually took me back), snatched the cake back, and said that he’d have to refund me and charge me again, telling me it’s a millionaires shortbread not just ‘shortbread’. He said the refund had gone through, threw the cake on the table and walked off. The refund hadn’t gone through, he didn’t even try. I used to work in a coffee shop and am well aware how refunds work and never even asked to retap my card. He was so rude and aggressive I really just thought it wasn’t worth it to be shouted at by a stranger. Shame because I love this place and every other person whose served me has been lovely but this guy was just beyond rude and a little bit scary.

After the lady infront of me had been served, the barista (man, in a cap) moved on to me. Aforementioned lady moved to the side and reached on to the top of the counter to retrieve some serviettes prompting the barista to sternly say to her 'ASK'. My experience was fine but this seems to tally with many other reviews that there is a rude dude here.

Ordered a coffee and sausage roll, Paid for it. then she gave me the sausage roll straight from the display! I said I’d like it warm please!! She replied we don’t do that lol Big oven in the corner tho!! …. Coffee was nice tho!!

Coffee is fine, far better than bitter beans you get at Starbucks or Costa.Service was quick and prices are only slightly above average with a flat white being £3.20

1 of the best lattes i have had in the whole country. Im not sure what coffee beans you have but they are up there with the best of them. Beats Starbucks and Costa on taste of the coffee beans alone. Also cheaper. Well done. Will be back looking forward to my next one.

I think it was the best coffee in my life. I ordered a decaffeinated coconut milk cappuccino and honestly didn't expect anything. But he was simply divine! Thanks to the guy in the glasses who made it, he perfectly whipped milk (I myself am a barista in the past and it’s hard to surprise me)! Boy, you made my evening! Thank you! I regret not leaving a tip, my train was coming. Thank you so much, it was great coffee!Vegetarian options: Coconut and almond milk

The flat white was SO good after a long journey while I was waiting for my connection on a train stroke day. The welsh cakes were tasty too!
Ordered a coffee then watched the barista wipe down multiple work services followed by the tube which he then put in my cup/coffee.... this was before he filled my cup up so much that I couldn't stir sugar in without it going everywhere. Coffee was OK 2 stars as cake was nice.

It’s a shame there’s no other cafe at the station as this place is not good on the basics. No decaf coffee (again). So I asked if I could have some hot water (yes good - for £1) and they filled a paper cup to the top. After I had paid I asked for a lid but they didn’t have any. Not a good idea to get on a train juggling luggage with a full cup of boiling water with no lid. They have sone nice cakes etc but the basics need improvement.
