I recently visited Merenghi's for a delightful evening dining. The three-course meal was exceptional, and the wine selection added the perfect touch to the experience. I highly recommend trying the rum baba, as it was a delicious conclusion to the meal. The ambiance and service were equally impressive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.

The best Italian food iv had in a long time. Quiet and intimate dinning so you could have a conversation. Food came out fast service was excellent food was amazing.

Genuine Italian cooking, practically cooked before your very eyes, and as genuine as can be - and I am Italian born, bred and raised in Rome! - The owner is a charming, engaging man with a lifetime's experience in running his own restaurants, both, in Italy and here in Newport. I had the mushroom pasta, and it was mouth-watering, not too creamy, not too dry, flavoursome and filling. The carrot cake dessert, though not italian, was equally delicious. I can heartily recommend this place!

This was our first visit - and what a delight it was. A truly intimate 'hidden-away' experience. My wife is Italian American and we are both learning the language, so it was a treat to be able to chat with the owner Mario. The food and service were both fantastico! The prices are very reasonable and the menu is extensive. Altogether delicious and charming. Recommended!
