A lot of attention to details made by the owner.Nearby activities: If wanting out, it's great for pubs. Quite a few to choose from.

Not a lot of choice and too expensive for what you get.

I'm not usually a fan of BnBs but Parker's was excellent! The room and bathroom large and perfectly presented. Tina was so helpful and welcoming and breakfast was enough to keep me going most of the day. Was visiting Newtown for work and made sure to tell everyone I met that they should recommend Parker's to anyone else visiting them.

Please read this before you consider booking this place, I am very shaken by our stay and would advise anyone to look elsewhere. To start off with there are CCTV cameras everywhere watching your every move and the owner will charge you extra if you break one of her many “rules”. This made the stay very uncomfortable and we couldn’t relax like you should be able to.We were asked non stop by the staff if we had paid for an early check in, which we had. You should have this information to hand if you know what room we are in and it made us feel unwelcome to start with. There are signs everywhere that state “no hot food in the rooms” which is a little uncomfortable having that forced upon you all over. If you enjoy food in your room do not stay here due to this in fear of the owner charging you after she classes it as “hot food”. You never know, you may leave a packet of crisps outside and they are now classed as “hot food” due to being warm. Please note this is 100% true and not a fan fiction for Faulty Towers in Newtown.I ordered a sandwich to be delivered to our room as we couldn’t come downstairs to eat it, the waitress asked a member of staff and they agreed this is fine. A while later the manager came up to the room stating as the sandwich was toasted (note: i never asked for it to be toasted is the first place) it was now classed as hot food and we couldn't have it in the room and would be charge £75 if we ate it there. The manager was very un accommodating. Our only option was to eat it in a room downstairs where a member of staff was ironing sheets and there was nowhere else to sit.I even offered to eat it in the corridor outside of the room, which the manager said was ok but still refused to even give me the food as i may take it into the room. I know, this is as insane as it sounds. After a while of trying to resolve this, there was no attempt to resolve this by the manager, apart from "you need to come downstairs", even though this is a problem they have caused. Someone eventually rang the owner and she agreed for it to be eaten in the room. Why the manager couldn't approve this is beyond me. I was informed "it was not up to her, only the owner who monitors the CCTV and will know if you ate it in the rooms".We ate the now cold sandwiches as it had taken so long, which was kind of ironic in the situation. The owner then rang my personal phone and I was thinking maybe she was calling to apologise for the problems that were all caused by her rules and staff, but no it was to have a go at me and forced me to apologise to her staff due to swearing, which i am very sorry about and i did apologise but your staff about, but your insane rules, lack of accommodating staff and yourself lead to this situation. This is not how you treat a paying guest. This was 100% down to your rules, some of your staff and yourself. I do want to say some of the staff were lovely and even said "if it was down to me you could eat this in the room".I am still shaken by the fact you called my personal phone and I am very upset about it, it is disgusting.I have read other reviews with similar issues with the owner of this place and i've even seen that she will call / message my phone again after reviewing. This is very scary and please do not do this, i nearly didn't write this review in fear of this but i feel i need to warn any future guests.Stay here if you have a big brother fetish and love your every move being monitored by CCTV.My advice to the owner: please focus on accommodating your guests with what they may want and require instead of on all these rules and trying to get any extra money out of your guests. I appreciate they are probably in place due to past incidents but please don't tar everyone with the same brush.

Make sure you use the online self check in process. If you arrive in the evening without doing this you will not be able to get into your room despite the door having a sign with a contact number for check in, as I discovered this week at 9.45pm. Owner was very apologetic the next day and the person who had booked the accommodation for me had missed the online message about self check in. Hopefully the sign on the door will be taken down and replaced with one reminding people to complete the online check in.

Everything about this B&B was great. Very luxurious. Spotlessly clean, lots of little touches. Great night's sleep. Much better than a hotel chain. Breakfast was fantastic, so much choice, everything freshly made. Staff very polite and attentive - nothing was too much trouble. We've already booked our next stay.

The owner is very rude and became very agressive towards myself for taking a guset to my room but does not state when booking that no guests are allowed i felt threatened by this awful woman to the point i had no choice to call the police would never reccomend staying here ever

The building is immaculate rooms ect however the customer service is absolutely appalling.very rude I think if you want your establishment to have the rules it has it should state it beforehand. Shame because your have obviously worked hard but rudeness is a no go for me Manners cost nothing
