Had a great meal here on Saturday night with my Sister and hubby. Food was excellent and the service superb. I loved the jerk chicken. Staff were really friendly especially the owner John who came and welcomed us personally. Brilliant range of Caribbean dishes.
Please support this restaurant if you can . Their prices are very reasonable as well.

Bull & Heifer

5 stars all around for our welcome at this pub! Food took ages and was small for the price, only one vegetarian option too! but service made up for it so hats off to the girls.

Baba Ali | Newtown

Great quality and quantity of food. Had a Hawaiian burger with chilli and mint sauce and it was really nice. Plus had a large chicken kebab tray with chips that was really tasty. Ordered on their website and paid by card at takeaway.

Jack's cafe restaurant

Decided to call in as on our way back from a holiday in mid Wales, for breakfast, after reading others reviews, easy enough to find, though parking is a bit hit & miss along the road, 1hr max stay, not sure where other carparks are ?.
We got there late morning, but still decided to have the full breakfast, was lovely & hot & tasty, along with tea & coffee.
Highly recommend, good value, prompt & friendly service.
Definitely worth a visit if traveling through & want a filling tasty hot breakfast ??

Express Cafe - Newtown

Used to have dinners from here during the pandemic. Discovered they still deliver, so ordered a beef roast and a beef stew for delivery. They were both very nice, hot, and prompt. Thank you for good food, good service at good prices. We'll be back for more!

Ghandi Indian Tandoori Takeaway

Ordered the special fried rice and Bombay potatoes. I kid you not the best most flavoursome Indian cuisine I’ve had! Would 100% recommend! Delivery time is fast as well.

We came across this as it was still open on the sunday we passed through newtown . Makes a difference to have a sandwich instead of mcdonalds! The staff where helpful & was happy to serve us . We ended up with cakes & sausage rolls aswell as our sandwich. Would definately recommend the selection of food& drinks is exceptional

Newtown Kebab House

Fresh, tasty, reasonably priced and made of good quality ingredients. 10-15mins from order to service, reasonable as you watch them make and then cook your chosen meat etc. No experience of the food outside of kebabs/wraps. Staff are also friendly and fun.

Great service and food. I was served by Jess yesterday who was lovely a natural with people very efficient and friendly. The food was hot and well presented and tasted lovely. Well done and Thanks

Great people, Great food, used mostly for takeaway than dining in as that's just my preference be it delivered or collected, always a good experience, noce polite service, food always bang on, never had any issues with them in the times I've gone here. 10/10 all round.

Visited with my grandchildren tea time 11/11/25 there was only one lady running the hole cafe taking orders at till cooking food serving it clearing up and she even had time to come and ask was everything okay i felt really sorry for her but she done a brilliant job well done and food was lovely

Domino's Pizza - Newtown

I was impressed by the prompt and efficient staff member serving me. Impressed at just how incredibly spotless inside the premises were and that my order which I'd preordained was bang on time. Well done to all the hardworking, efficient and fab staff on a job well done. I treated my dad to his first ever domino pizza and chuffed to bit's to say he love it! I lok forward to visiting again in future when visiting. Congratulations on a superb job and a huge well done ? to all the staff.Keel up the good work and thank you alm very much?????Personally, I don't understand some of the negative reviews on here.Clearly just after some free pizza☺️.?

Came here for some lunch after taking our English bulldog max for a walk in Dolerw Park.

Love the food and staff. Which is why i gave so many stars, however, i meet my family half way from where they and we live to there and since new management we have managed it once, due to them not doing food for 1 reason or another. So wonderful if you do managed to eat there but dont just turn up.

The food is simplebasics but well delicious, the people are absolutely lovely, the price affordable, and the atmosphere is very calm.

My first visit, and God must have been smiling on me this morning. After a 4 hour drive to make a delivery, was happy to find Vickys Van for a proper breakfast and wish I had taken a photo of the gorgeous sausage, bacon and egg sandwich which she served in foil for me as a takeaway. Service with a smile, has really made my morning .... thank you ☺

I sat very quietly in the lounge watched the movie of Dumbo on my phone while I was waiting for the taxi to arrive. They knew that I didn't come in for a drink and they found me somewhere quiet to sit after I did a lot of hiking around the village of Kerry The people serving at the bar were polite and easy to talk to.

Evans Cafe

A warm greeting awaits you as you enter. This cafe is known all over Powys and beyond and for good reason. Quite possibly the best Chelsea bun I’ve ever tasted in my entire life and I’ve had many. I’m told it was started by Italians.

Service is excellent, the staff are professional and there’s a great selection of cakes, pastries and an extensive menu.

I parked a five minute walk away as it does get extremely busy for obvious reasons. Go and treat yourself, you won’t be disappointed. An excellent well deserved five stars.

Been coming to the kwai chin for over 15 years, The food is consistently delicious, arrives hot and the portions are generous. The staff are always polite and the service is quick. Easily the best Chinese takeaway around! ?

Silver Fish

Went here for the first time with a friend who is a regular. Had the £10 combo of chips, eggs, ham plus a crumble and custard pudding.
I have to say it was excellent value for the money.
Simply that, really. Very friendly, very clean too.

Decided to pop in while visiting the area , place is well lit, exceptionally clean and service was second to none.

Wr we're greeted and served straight away, we only wanted take out but will definatley dine in next time we visit Wales.

Staff were friendly and helpful, food was lovely and portion sizes were large.

Highly recommend.

Garthowen Fish Bar

Came on holiday from Wolverhampton though shop was busy customers were served efficiently. Best Fish and chips I've had in a long time everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious, prices much cheaper than other shops in the area. Staff very friendly and polite when serving.
