The food was ok, as was the restaurant. But after leaving the restaurant and getting home, I find that the old bag who runs the place, who was drunk while being in the place, has come onto my husband and forced her number onto him when he refused to do her on the premises. Apparently from speaking to locals, she has form at this sort of thing. So If you want cheap food, with the option of a free ride with a deseased hag, get yourself round to the Granary......., but if you have any concern about your husband or marraige.....stay clear of this dump and old dog that runs it.

Fab place, we've visited 3 times since it reopened ! ???? Atmosphere is lovely, the staff are extremely friendly and we felt totally safe with the covid restrictions that are in place - well done team Granary !! ??

Very nice restaurant. I ordered from the early bird menu, 3 courses for £19.95. The set menu is quite short, but has an option for most tastes.I had the Salmon and Dill fishcake starter, which was very good. The fishcake may have been slightly over done, but the vinaigrette on the salad was incredibly tasty. My main was the Spicy Chicken Salad, which had much more chicken than I expected, I'm not so into anchovies, but they were okay in the salad. For dessert I had the White Chocolate Brulee, it was amazing and had that signature crack to get through the top of the Brulee. Our waitress was incredibly professional and attentive. I would happily come back to The Granary on my next visit to Newtown.

Had lunch today , asked for cauliflower cheese ,was told there was none. People on the next tables had it. It was the poorest Sunday lunch I’ve ever had .Expensive too . Star rating minus one

The whole restaurant smelled of chips being fried in oil that needed changing a few days ago. The food was okay but a bit expensive for what you got. They had vegetarian and vegan options. I ate some of mine but left half of it, as did my friend. It was okay though. The bar would be really nice on a different day when they had changed the oil.
