Thank you for a wonderful evening. We decided to go for a swim on the pier and decided to walk over to have a glass of wine for my mother's birthday. They came out with small Welsh cakes with a candle on top and sang happy birthday to her.A simply lovely gesture to all of us and we will be coming back again for the lovely food, drink and charming atmosphere. The sea view is beautiful at night with the rolling waves crashing against in the distance.A must try if you decide to go swimming or want a delicious meal with a gorgeous view.

my friend and I were sat on the beach enjoying the wonderful exceptional weather for October and we fancied a coffee. The nearest was Sid's ( Pickfords) A sign outside said table service but I thought I'd ask if I could have a take away. They were very busy but I had excellent customer service. Thank you so much we will be back to try your new lunch menu soon.

Great bit of news today while having some beautiful food with my wife. As from 3rd October 2023 this wonderful eating place is opening from 9am in the morning till 9pm. A great place to come for an evening drink and some nibbles to eat. We wish you all the very best in your exciting new venture. Come on everyone let's use it and not loose it. Roll on October we can't wait. The fish is to die for.

Good quality food but expensive. Service is slow at breakfast, finished drinking my coffee before the food order was taken 50 minutes later. Staff are friendly but clearly not enough service for the volume of customers.Menu on website is false advertising, it is very limited with just basic breakfasts available. Food was nothing spectacular, what you'd get in any cafe.On a plus, the veiws and setting is great and the restaurant is spaced fairly well.

Had lunch here last week with friends, everyone very professional and friendly as usual and the food and drink were excellent as usual. Highly recommend.

Came for a walk to Penarth and decided on the spur of the moment to try Pickford’s for lunch. First class prompt service with friendly waiters. Chose the vegetarian ploughman’s which was delicious and plentiful. My husband also had a ploughman’s but with ham which he said it was delicious. We finished with a coffee. Just perfect to eat outside with lovely views over the Bristol Channel which is very clear today. We could see both Severn Crossings!

I had fish and chips both very greasy Expected a better quality meal for £16.00 I should have complained but didn't like to as staff was very nice. May be staff could of asked why I hadn't eaten my meal was everything OK.
