Went with my husband and son for lunch today. First impressions was that the place looked and felt great, they gave beautiful new padded chairs which are really comfy and it's all set out lovely. Our server was great, really friendly, attentive and we didn't have to wait long for attention although there was a few other busy tables. So we had the camembert bites to start and I totally recommend it, it's delicious and a plentiful starter. Hubby had brisket sandwich with fries for main and I had the rainbow salad with chicken (going away in a few weeks so being super good) hubs enjoyed his food and my salad was stunning loved all the hits of different flavours and with the chicken and the 3lb of Mayo I put on it was really filling. I highly recommend the Castle Myanch for great food, super service in a beautiful place :)

Very nice pub. Good beers very nice food apart from the mouldy tomatoes in the side salad (see pictures). Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the salad.

Omg this place is a little gem. It been refurbished and looks and feels so homely. Staff are so attentive, had a warm welcome and a friendly manner to each member who was working there today. We popped in for a wedding anniversary treat and the meals did not dissappoint? I had baked cheesy mushrooms to start and hubby had broccoli and potato soup which were both delicious. Mains we both opted for the hunters chicken schnitzel which was very tasty indeed and a generous portion too. I have to say I think I chose the best pudding ever I had the black forest pot, oh my days it was amazing, the presentation was outstanding. Everything on the plate was edible even the flowers. You will not be disappointed with this truly delicious dessert. Please see pictures. Definitely recommend this place for a comfy enjoyable place to eat, with prices that won't break your bank account lol . The chef even sent out a chocolate brownie with Happy anniversary on the plate. Thank you kindly to all the staff there today.

Food was okay, but arriving just before 5.00 staff seemed more interested in finishing their shift. Drinks took a long time to arrive and when we finished the meal the plates were not removed from the table and as a consequence we were not asked whether we wanted a desert. Whilst eating the meal staff were more interested in chatting to each other so we observed several customers who had just arrived had to go to the bar to order drinks & food .

Greeted with a friendly smile and directed to our table. However the food did not meet up to our expectations. My wife had steak and asked for it to be cooked medium rare and is was medium well, with a huge amount of fat running through it. We also upgraded to triple cooked chips and they were most definitely not. They were under cooked and more like McCain's, not what we were expecting. If it wasn't for the fact that I had 50% voucher, I would have complained about the meal at the time. Bitterly disappointed to be honest

What can I say this pub/restaurant is an absolute gem. Popped in for a belated anniversary treat and it did not dissappoint. Lovely warm welcome when we arrived. Greeted by a friendly staff member who showed us to a table. I ordered baked garlic cheesy mushrooms and my hubby had broccoli and potato soup to start both of which were very tasty. We both opted for the hunters chicken schnitzel which was served with a side of mixed lettuce leaves and a generous portion of gourmet chips which was so delicious. Now to the dessert.. oh my days the black forest flowerpot was absolutely amazinnnnngggg!!!!! Please see photos. Everything on the plate is totally edible including the little flowers. The flower pot is actually chocolate and inside is aixture of chocolate brownie pieces, mousse, cherry's and oreo crumb. It came with fresh cream and a scoop of cherry sorbet ? The presentation of this amazing dessert was spot on thumbs up to the dessert chef. The chef also sent out a warm chocolate brownie and had writting happy anniversary on the plate with chocolate sauce. Definitely recommend this place. Cosy homely feel to it. Staff were very professional, friendly and attentive.

Nice enough place, service pretty good but some errors and omissions! Importantly, all minor issues immediately rectified. Would recommend.

What a lovely visit. It was to celebrate my 66th birthday and my retirement. It was only 3 of us. We had to change tables as my husband is ,6ft 4in and with the bar under the table he couldn't put his legs under the tableNothing was to much trouble. The service was impeccable. Food was lovely. Well doneWe will return. . Keep up the good work.

Food was to die for!?
Started with the calamari (absolute delicious)
Finished off (no room for dessert) with a beef Sunday roast which was incredible. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Great service and great food. Will definitely be returning!

Excellent food, lovely place, helpful friendly staff. We were a group of friends meeting up after a long time apart. Gave us plenty of time, no rushing or pushing. Food and drinks were excellent and we had a lovely time catching up.
