Despite some of the poor reviews for take away, I decided to try it out myself. I went at about 5:30 on a Sunday evening and my order was taken immediately by a pleasant and efficient young man. My fish and chips and mushy peas was ready in literally six minutes. It was £16.75, but the portions were enormous and would easily be enough for three people, so good value. It was very tasty and I will go again, but next time I will ask for the smaller portion size which is £3 cheaper.

This was our second visit and the food was just as good as the first. The pub is really cosy and the staff are friendly. We all had the surf and turf but the platters looked amazing - can’t wait to go back again!

I booked rock and scallop as a Christmas present for my boyfriend, and what an expensive present that turned out to be! I got him a £100 voucher but the bill came out at £160 in the end, for one platter and a bottle of wine. At £110, I’d expect the platter to be exceptional and whilst there were amazing elements, the lobster was overcooked and the haddock was dry. Wouldn’t have minded if the platter was around £80 but for £110, this was the most expensive platter we’ve ordered and we’ve definitely had better for well under £100. Whilst the service wasn’t bad, I would again expect better for the price point. My glass broke and I wasn’t offered a replacement for the wine, the bill was also incorrect as they put a more expensive bottle on there. Again, really wouldn’t have minded if we weren’t paying so much. Probably would visit again but would go for the cheaper options (they have a lovely sounding curry for around £20/£25). A promising place, but I think they need to lower their prices as it wasn’t a luxury experience.

The menu and venue were very good and that’s where it ended. The food was cold, ridiculously overpriced with small portions (especially the seafood sharing platter at £99). Our group left the restaurant £300 lighter and still starving - good thing there are other places to eat nearby afterwards! We were sat under an air conditioning unit and the front door was left wide open, meaning that we were sat in our coats to dine and freezing cold. There were also significant delays in service and a lot of basic errors from the inexperienced staff. It was the first time I’ve seen a waitress try and take a plate that we were still eating from. There are more than 20 similar restaurants in the wider Cardiff area that blow the socks off this place. Whilst I’m all for supporting small up and coming businesses, we left bitterly disappointed and felt exploited by the price to quality and portion ratio.

Unreal food, unreal service and gorgeous place. The best steak I’ve ever had out, would highly recommend! 10/10 all round!!

Really nice atmosphere and vibe, and I’m a veggie and I really enjoyed my meal even though most of the menu is meat & fish. Staff all really friendly and we felt well looked after during our meal.

Went with friends over the Christmas break and was blown away with the quality of food and the restaurant itself. Great decor, lovely atmosphere and the food was exceptional.Would recommend the King Prawns for starters and fillet steak for main! Can’t wait to go back!

Member of staff in the takeaway was exceptional. She was very friendly and informative. Cod was very good, completely boneless with a thick crispy batter. The chips were a little disappointing undercooked which very little flavour.

Been looking forward for the restaurant to open for a while and it certainly didn't dissapoint! We travelled from caerphilly between Xmas and New year as a table of 4 and had a fantastic time. The focus on fresh ingredients, lovely wine and exceptional service creates a unique atmosphere. Thankyou to the whole team for a fantastic night. We can't wait to return to the restaurant and also try out the new cocktail bar! Having a train station with links to Cardiff and the Valleys that is literally a stones throw away is an extra bonus!! Guess who's not driving next time ?

I had dinner with friends in between Christmas and New Year and wow, it was amazing! The star of the show was the Chateaubriand - super tender and flavorful. And those Parmesan fries, absolutely addictive. They were the perfect crunchy and cheesy sidekick to the steak. The coolest part, Since I'm pregnant, I couldn't dive into their cocktail menu. But the staff was awesome – they whipped up an amazing 'Mocktail' just for me. It wasn't even on the menu, but it was so good and made me feel really special. The vibe of the place was just as great as the food. It's super cozy and stylish, making it a fantastic spot for a chill dinner or a special night out.All in all, Brothers Steak & Seafood nailed it with great food, thoughtful service, and a cool atmosphere. Definitely a must-visit spot!

The best food around for miles! You can taste the quality and the service was fab as they went the extra mile. Excellent selection of drinks and portions were perfect. Definitely my new favourite place ?

Ordered the cod and chips and a fish and chips drink, came to about £24.Was very quiet in the takeaway and still took ages for food to come out. Staff seemed to be confused/struggling with the orders. When we left we had little confidence that the food was going to be any good based on the staff and our waiting experience. Arrived home, opened our takeaways and physically laughed at how tiny the battered sausage was £6!! for something so small. The small cod was also really tiny. The sausage tasted good but everything else was lacking. Chips were cold and hard.Won't be going back.
