Alice our waitress was super efficient and really pleasant. The food was the best we had ever had at a Harvester!

When we arrived at harvester it was 18:00 we was greeted by Amy who said they had no tables for a good hour even tho I had checked the booking system before arriving and every time from 17:00 was available. We sat back in the car and booked a table for 18:15 after that Amy allowed every other walk in take a table. Not sure if she didn’t like the look of us or she just didn’t want us to eat there that night ? Anyways we was served by Matt G who was very kind and went out his way to get us onto a warmer table even tho apparently they were full. Food was okay my daughters mini burger felt like it had been waiting for quite a while as the bun was rock hard and the beans had no more juice left! Matt kindly went and got us a fresh bun. definitely rate the rotisserie chicken! Salad bar pretty poor when we arrived not much available and everyone seemed to be too busy to fill it. Not bad but not good prefer Cwmbran.

We had finished our shopping and decided to go for lunch I took my granddaughter and my great granddaughter who is only just turned 1 year old. We were told to order at the bar has we didn't book which was not a problem we were glad to get a table. Sat my great granddaughter in a high chair. We ordered drinks and a meal, the young waitress came with the drinks which was a pot of tea I was horrified and shocked when she lent over my great granddaughter with the mug in one hand and the tray with the pot of tea on in the other hand stretching over to put the mug on the table with the tray of hot tea over her head I just couldn't" believe it. if that pot of tea happened to drop it would of gone all over her head and body it was unbelievable to see this happening. Surly waitress would of been trained with the amount of young children attending your facilities. I had to go to the bar and ask for bowls to go to the salad bar then I had to go back to the bar to ask for cutlery. They brought our meal out which wasn't to bad but not one waitress came to see if everything was ok or if we needed anything. If I hadn't paid for the meals which they didn't give me a receipt for we would off got up and walk out.

Booked a table, shown to the table sat down. Took drinks order, and tried to order food. Can I have fish and chips please? No the fryer is broken, can I have a mixed grill? No we don't have mixed grills. Can I have chicken and chips? No we don't have any sorry. OK surprise me then please! Ended up with gammon and a FEW chips, peas that where hard and dry. Totally rubbish to be fair! I nearly forget the constant drone of moshing music coming from the kitchen.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. We eat here regularly and always have a great time. Matt is very friendly, polite and goes out of his way to help.Vegetarian options: The vegetarian options are very tasty and reasonably priced.

Very poor meal.Tasteless steak, jacket potato nuked to the size of a prune with a very hard jacket, mushrooms mushy/soggy (couldn't eat).Friends mixed grill very small, and meats were VERY DRY.Both peppercorn sauces were runny and not very tasty.Children's burger like cardboard and tough to chew for a 4-year-old. Had to get a bunch from the salad bar as it was more edible.Chessy garlic bread was lovely, and the salad bar was okay too, but we won't return again to pay 70 odd quid for a salad, never again, sorry..Bare in mind too, our drinks were on top of our meals too ?Very expensive, better out there.

We visited for breakfast on Christmas Eve. We were looked after by Amy who provided amazing service. Very friendly, polite and attentive and an absolute credit to your restaurant. She kept the tea refills coming which was very welcome. The food was hot and delicious. We had the ultimate breakfasts and were totally stuffed when we waddled out of there! The perfect start to Christmas

We prebooked table for 5.30 because there were 10 of us and we had younger children with us. Table wasn't ready so we were 20 mins late sitting. Took ages to be served and then again ages to bring bowls for salad cart. No fish as fryer was broken. No rotisserie chicken as we were told there is a shortage. Then no lollipops on children's dessert menu. Matt our waiter did his best but was obvious to us they were very understaffed too. All in all a very disappointing visit

Lovely for families. Relaxed. Served by Kaylie, great service. A few things out of stock coz of new year ie straws, beetroot and cherries but Kaylie explained and still made our visit special

Our food today was delicious. No errors, no complaints whatsoever! Our server kaylie, was prompt, polite and friendly. She was quick to serve our drinks order and couldn’t help enough. We didn’t need to wait for drink refills and let feeling full, happy and satisfied. I’d highly recommend the breakfast menu and this particular establishment. (Pontypool, Torfaen)
