Fantastic food and atmosphere. Make sure you book in advance as it's only a small restaurant.Service was great, did have to wait about 10 minutes for our table but not really an issue as we booked quite late. Would recommend and will definitely visit again.

The Horseshoe Inn & Country Kitchen

What a super find. We stayed locally for a week and dined here twice, once on a Sunday for the roast which was so good we then booked back in for Pie & a Pint night on the Wednesday eve. The food on both occasions was first class. A friendly team will give you a very warm welcome and look after you. Only small bar area so make sure you book in if you have dogs because they aren’t allowed in the restaurant. This is a gem of a local pub.

Harvester Pontypool

Walked in on the off chance of getting a table. Although it was very busy a table was found. We had an excellent meal, the service was great and the usual good value. Recommended!

Lee's Kitchen

Lee’s kitchen is the best , we’ve ordered from them many times and the delivery is always prompt and they’re always lovely when they greet you at the doorFood is even better always hot and well made , best Chinese in the local area by far.Vegetarian options: The salt and chilli tofu is very tasty

Was in the area and wanted to support a local business at lunch time rather than a chain cafe/restaurant. I knew of the place so popped it into the sat nav and off we went. We had the beef dinner and a latte each. The dinner did not disappoint! Generous helpings of everything and utterly delicious. Would go back if in the area again.

Family Grill House

Had a bad experience a week ago with order not turning up but owner messaged me and apologized directly and offered us 40%off next order to try them again and I was impressed this time. Bit of a hiccup with ordering on phone at start with order and address being wrong but they phoned me to make sure it was right and we corrected it. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Glad we gave u a 2nd chance and thankyou for the apology.

Garlic Authentic Indian and Bangladeshi Takeaway

Having now had cuisine from.this takeaway, a number of times this year, I have to write that the tastes are genuinely great..Orders are freshly cooked and the infusions of spices really hits the taste buds..There is a very warm welcome as you enter the premises and without doubt we will be having more dishes from here again ..In my opinion, if this region of cuisine is what you like, then you won't be dissapointed

Market Square Coffee House

Lovely hot chocolate and bacon/egg sandwich. They do more but that's all I wanted. Nice freshly made sandwich. Comfortable seating and very friendly atmosphere.

Rehmat Spice

Ordered a takeaway from here on the off chance. We rarely order food in but fancied a change and Rehmat Popped up on Just Eat.Wow! Arrived at stated time, food was piping hot, delivery driver was nice and chatty.Food 10/10!! Best Paneer I have had and the Garlic Keema naan was out of this world! Honestly - I am fussy when it comes to takeaway having a chef background but honestly the best meal I had had in a long time!Highly recommend!

I went to Indiana take away to discover it had changed ownership, I was welcomed.by the owner Sam very polite man his are.polite to they talked to me the whole time i was there the cost was very reasonable the premises very clean as well younsee your food order be made in front of you and the nan breads are freshly baked the dish I ordered was delicious ? I wanted more it was very flavourful and I will be.going there again to try.more.items from the new menu I highly recommend Indiana Take Away at Abersychan. Greggs

Went in for a couple of sausage rolls and was served by a really good standard of staff. A youngish chap who acknowledged us and let us know he’d be just a minute while he washed his hands, then pointed out the hotter sausage rolls and was polite and definitely a good people person. Seems a lot to write for a sausage roll purchase but I have a small business and would hire this chap no doubt. Also, sausage rolls were tasty as always. Cheers.

Outstanding food and service. I order online and collect. It is t my local but it’s well worth the 15 - 20 minute drive. The food is always piping hot, super fresh and deliciously tasty. Denise's Fish Bar

Where do I even start, me and my partner regularly come here for a treat on a Saturday. Lovely staff, always wanting to make conversation with us. The food is always immaculate and fills our tummy’s. I really recommend the chicken nuggets. They are a delight to feast on. Paired with a large chips is a wonderful treat. Amazing. Definitely recommend. The wait is not an issue at all, maybe at a maximum of 10 minutes! So fast!

Always fantastic food, piping hot and always delicious. The staff are always friendly over the phone, in store and the delivery drivers when dropping food off.Have always been helpful in making any changes to dishes if requested. Highly recommended!

This is a cracking place has good choices of food available and the staff here and great. They also do a very good take away option and are fairly priced . I would recommend there pizzas as the are one of the best.

Istanbul Kebabs & Pizza House

Popped in for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by the prices what a different to what I pay in Cwmbran. Food was great I had chicken shish kebab with plenty of salad and garlic sauce and it was bloody lovely. So from now on I travel from Cwmbran to get my kebab and it still works out cheaper than paying what I've been paying even with fuel costs. Boys you've got yourselves a new customer!!!!!

Taste Good

This is probably the best Chinese takeaway I've ever been to. The staff was nice and the food was delicious ?. I ordered salt and pepper fries and it was so good I can't explain it! The best, I recommend this Chinese takeaway

Asiana Indian Cuisine

Asiana is our favourite Indian restaurant in Pontypool. The gentleman that serves us is always friendly and accommodating and the food has always been delicious. As a vegetarian, my favourite dish from there is the aloo gobi ?

Choice Take Away

Tamarind Pontypool

We had items missing from our take away but we rang and told them and to be fair they delivered the item within 20 mins. There was some wrong items in the order also but i think their that busy mistakes will happen but they will put it right. Many thanks to them we will eat from here again as the food is so nice.

Chans Noodle Bar

Mushroom chow mein and chicken curry, beef an cheese spring rolls and salt and chilly chicken balls..omg was stunning..the containers were cardboard so easily recycled...the delivery was bang on time..amazing service and food was banging..thank u so much.

Went here a few days ago as all other chip shops closer was closed.Got to say food was great and menu looked decent, it's also a Chinese aswell as a chippy and I had no idea, had the key meals on the menu. I'm going to try this place next time we order a chinese.Oh and staff was friendly to :)

Horseshoe Fish Bar

This is a traditional British Fish and Chip take away shop, very friendly staff, great food freshly cooked, I go there regularly and have never had to complain or return anything. I went this week and it was really busy, all of the staff got on with their jobs and I was chatting with Ray who was making light of things when you could clearly see he was trying to serve people quickly and professionally. All round great take away.

Goytre chippy & indian

we recently visited Usk on a family vacation and wanted to share an amazing experience we had. On our way back from a day out, we found a local Fish & Chip shop called Goyte Fish Bar. From the moment we walk in, we received the warmest of welcomes. They asked if we were locals and after mentioning we were on holiday, they gave us lots of ideas and tips on what to see in the area. Several locals came in while we were waiting and each received a friendly welcome too. The food was amazing, the portions were generous, and service was the best I have ever seen. After our visit I noticed that they appeared in your July edition. I wish we had a chippy like Goyte Fish Bar where I live. They are a credit to the area and I hope others get to experience the welcome that we received. The Howard’s, Reading, Berks.

Fantastic place to go as a tourist to the town the locals soon starting talking and the atmosphere of this venue was fantastic will definitely be back maybe in a day or two

This place has the best chips, and such a friendly and inviting atmosphere. Will never go anywhere else :) try the mushy pea fritters, they're stunning. All the women are great aswell, really funny and kind hearted.
