Clean, tidy and comfortable room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The cooked breakfast was delicious and the continental selection was plentiful. Would definitely recommend.Rooms: The bed is super comfortable and the rooms are clean with plenty of towels provided.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, plenty of parking. They were very helpful and moved me with no fuss when I had a loud snorer next door.

Very disappointed. Room heater made some weird noises. Eventually I had to swith it off. There was an oil heater but not very warm.

Stayed in July 2022. The fire alarm went off 5 times in the night. Staff told me to call the central Premier Inn helpline for a refund. Been in correspondence with them ever since and no refund or compensation is forthcoming. They've stopped replying so I've decided never to visit a Premier Inn ever again - seems fair.

Located right next door to Havester Pontypool. Hotel as two floors, sadly no lift to the second floor, bear this in mind if you have a lot of luggage with you. But all round nice stay.

Stayed a couple of nights for work, lovely friendly staff, breakfast was excellent, room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was hot and powerful - what more could I ask for?!

Very disappointed with Whitbread Premier Inns policy of charging an extra £10 for check in before 3pm if the room is ready. Especially when we have been on the road for over 4 hours. There is no allowances for disabled people whose needs are often complexCheck in used to be 2pm onwards and check out was 12 noon, the latter is now 11 am.The Pontypool premises used to be a Holiday Inn. There is a musty smell to the room and hallway, otherwise it is very clean. The staff are lovely and due to the change in the check in time, there were a number of people waiting to be checked in.Whitbread is not the company it once was, nor are some of the Premier Inns of the standard they once were.Best Western, Pontypool check in is 2 pm.

Same as all premier inns really the only downside for me was the bed was on rollers and everytime i sat dorn the bed moved away from me.

Fantastic - clean, quiet... your front desk staff are brilliant, especially Sue who we have been greeted by several times now

Rooms need a deep clean. Dead flies squashed in the window nets. Reception staff stood outside smoking whilst I stood waiting to sort the key out, which had stopped working yet again. I tried using the Premier Inn website to leave my feedback but that didn't work either .....thank goodness for a fabulous breakfast is all I can say ..... I know premier Inn only give so much cleaning time per room but the hotel needs a deep clean all overRooms: If you are unfortunate enough to be placed in a room facing the front expect to put up with the constant stench of cigarette smoke

As with all Premier Inns, you know exactly what you to expect, and they deliver. No evening meals, but Harvester next door, so no problem. However, pedestrian access from the railway station is abysmal. Google gives a 2 mile walk to cover about 200 yards, and even short cutting by the canal it was 4 or 5 times the crow flies distance. Hopefully the new station access from the by pass will solve this, although it will still involve crossing a dual carriageway.
