We had our Christmas party night at the Brown Trout. Probably their first one and I have to say it was amazing. We were quite a large group for what I imagine is a pretty small pub kitchen. The food was excellent, the turkey was moist, the gravy lush and the veg cooked perfectly. The service was also really good. Afterwards we had a brilliant band they seamlessly sorted the seating including removing some tables and chairs and still managed to fit us all in. Well organised and well executed. Cannot fault the evening. Thank you to all the team What a great start to the festive season.

I visited The Brown Trout on a whim whilst passing through. I wasn't disappointed. The landlady is lovely, and I spoke with a lot of the locals who made me feel very welcome. The food was great and good value. I'll try to get back here when I can!

Honestly couldn't ask for a better reception. Booked a hall for partners b day absolutely Brill . Even at short notice they fit us in . Cheap as chips to book the room upstairs held 50 60 people easy . Well worth what we paid for it . Even went along with our plan to surprise my partner . Had an amazing night celebrating our daughters 18th birthday in the beautiful function room upstairs, Cath and her staff made us all very welcome and was served with a friendly smile.Everybody had a brilliant night, can highly recommend the Brown Trout for all functions, and food was amazing and loads of it, no one left hungry.Thanks guys xxx

Best Sunday dinner I've had in a long time and definitely the best local! Loads of veggie options available, food was amazing and service was really good. Roasties and cauliflower cheese were outstanding. We'll be back!
