The best fish shop in Porthcawl. The food and service is always great. We never go anywhere else, we walk past other chippies to get there!They do gluten free options also.

On holiday with the family at Trecco Bay, my wife is Coeliac so we were looking for a chip shop that served Gluten Free food.The food was lovely, well cooked, fresh and crispy. Furthermore it was the staff that cheered me up from feeling low on such a dismal October evening, in particular Angel's singing ! Keep it up ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free

Basic pub classic menu reasonably priced with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's a favourite watering hole for many people who visit this area with its beautiful views and very local campsites. It's only a short walk along the coastal path through the tunnels from saundersfoot passing copithall beach and cafe on routeParking: Their is parking across the seafront and also a carpark the other side of the roadKid-friendliness: My grandchildren were welcomed, and they are 3,4,and 9

Great service and the best chips around. Mansel’s are one of the few places we know of that serve GLUTEN FREE fish and chips. We visit regularly as my wife has coeliac disease. We recognise that Mansel’s is a “SAFE” place to eat as the staff are very good at ensuring that there is no cross contamination with gluten containing products. Not only is it “safe” for coeliacs, the food is of the best quality and the gluten free batter on the fish would rival any gluten alternative.

Oversell pretty poor. Portion sizes were very small. And varied a lot. Sausages were raw and not nice to eat at all.. prices were good but I guess you get what you pay for.. disappointed on this visit.

Literally just finished my last bit of fish & chips and had to write this review. Chips tasted so fresh and not too greasy. Fish tasted like it had just been caught. Well done guys ?

Took my father for a morning out at Porthcawl usually had for years fish n chips at beales thought we try mansels glad we did absolutely best fish n chips me and dad agreed knock spots of beales staff was friendly even offered free tea or coffee I would recommend them.

Delicious and relatively good prices. If you visit Porthcawl and fancy take away chippy, grab it from here!Dietary restrictions: They offer a GF range.

This is the place for fish n chips if you are visiting Porthcawl. We needed our fish and chips fried separately, so we were provided with a gluten-free option. The fish n chips were just awesome. Tasting is believing...Dietary restrictions: Fish n chips fried separately in separate oil.

When for food the after the fireworks tonight the food was amazing fresh tasty curry was stunning definitely best chip shop in porthcawl and good prices I definitely go there again.they need this fish and chip shop in treco bay they make a killing in the Square

Highly impressed with Mansels! As a Coeliac it’s very risky and worrying eating out because of lack of awareness and cross contamination. The last time I got a chippy from a different coastal Chip Shop I ended up very ill. So I was apprehensive but read the reviews and decided to try. My whole family and I loved the food so much we went twice during our holiday. The young man with the beard gave great customer service too and the free Coffee and Tea while we were waiting was great also. Would recommend to anyone Gluten Free or not! ??

Was lovely food had sausage in batter which was cooked lovely. Really tasty Irish curry and chips which was good to just a little bit on the white side. But it didn't seem to spoil my meal.
