I had a really lovely Sunday roast and dessert. Great food; great service; lovely old pub, with a warm and cosy vibe. Would recommend.Parking: Not many parking spaces, but locals tend to walk there.

Mansel's Chippy

Wish Id gone here a few days ago on my first visit to porthcawl when I fancied fish and chips. The staff even offered us a complimentary cuppa whilst our fish was cooking. Had a lovely curry sauce to. This is what a fush in batter size should be.Price was brilliant and staff were so friendly. Id say this is the best Chippy in porthcawl.

Farmers Arms

After a long walk nearby, was looking for a warm pub that was dog accommodating, and we were not disappointed.Was a bit late on Sunday for a roast, but Jason and the team worked hard to accommodate us, checking in frequently, and being very friendly.Food was delicious - they did chicken breast and plenty of veg for a very reasonable price.Highly recommend!

Cosy Corner Lounge

It is what it says. it's a cosy place to be.Food is excellent, and the options available frequently change. Good range of beers and wines.Space is somewhat limited, I guess that's what makes it cosy.It's dog friendly too.

Saltwater Inn

The food is excellent, good variety of choices on the menu and generous helpings. The staff a friendly and efficient, especially the chap behind the bar. Will definitely be back.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp by the entrance and the toilets are easy to get to.

Great place, always friendly and helpful staff. Lovely atmosphere and outlook over the bay. Great Sunday lunch, though this time lamb was slightly below the normal high standard. Delicious starter and sweet.

Beale's Park Fish & Chips Restaurant doesn't disappoint when it comes to serving the BEST fish & chips that I have ever had.Whenever I visit Porthcawl this is my go-to. Everything on their menu is fantastic, the prices are way below what you would expect from such a popular spot.There will be queues on busy weekends but in all fairness they speed through them. The customer service is always lovely and applaudable especially during their peak times.If you park in the massive Porthcawl parking lot the chippy is only a short walk from the beach, located just opposite a park and bowls green where you can sit and enjoy your chips.Parking: Plenty of nearby parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Stepped entry.

The Rock Inn really shows off the best Porthcawl has to offer.Having arrived early before the restaurant opened a queue had already started to form with egar eyes and empty bellies on full display! when the doors finally opened we were off! As we were entering we saw a few groups being turned away as it was fully booked, so as a warning book ahead or risk missing out on a solid Sunday dinner experience!we were greeted by the staff as we entered and promptly taken to our seats the staff were friendly and attentive. Thanks guys!We were offered menus and having been given just the right amount of time to examine it along came a happy, friendly face ready to take our orders.I went for the Crab as a stater and the Lamb as the main course and boy was I in for an experience.The starters came, a golden crispy coating covering a centre of soft delicate crab! the perfect amount you expect from a starter enough to make your mouth water as you sit and wait for the mains.For the main we had the lamb, it came juciey, succulent with a bit of a bite which I love! not chewy but enough texture to know your eating meat. Accompanying the lamb was a large crispy and fluffy yorkie of course home made followed by golden roast potatoes and a roast carrot and parsnip both full flavour! The gravy was something new, a very pale gravy hard to see on the food but boy was it packed with richness and depth! The Brogden Public House

First visit to the Brogden, to see our friend Theresa J sing, a fantastic welcome from Manager Paula and all the staff. Fantastic entertainment and atmosphere unbelievable, drink prices exceptional value. Haven't been there before as opposite side of Porthcawl to where we live. Also regulars very friendly, will definitely go again.

Weird Doh Pizza Co - Porthcawl

We ordered 26 pizzas for our sea cadet end of year party. We had a mixture of vegetarian and meat. Every single pizza was absolutely delicious! The cadets ate until they were fit to burst. ?We will definitely be using them again, and would highly recommend them.Thank you, and Merry Christmas to everyone at Weird D'oh.
