I looked on Google to find a good chippy in porthcawl, rest bay fish shop came up and reviews seemed ok, tried this evening and to be honest was not impressed one bit !The price for two regular fish and chips was £21.00 which I think is over the top, the chips were so very bland partly down to server putting fish on top of chips before salt and vinegar so fish had some but chips had nothing at all !!!That said it was very bland and way overpriced for what we had, even if it was to of tasted better I would not pay £11 each for it.If it wasn’t for the fact that the wife went in and ordered and paid for them instead of me then they would of had them backCertainly will be first visit and never never again

Fishcake & Chips. 3 different sizes of chips. Plenty of choice including a full chicken curry. Food was nice, I like a little more salt & vinegar than they used. Fishcake nice also. Would come back again. P.S. it's not in rest bay.

Just ordered from Just Eat. Arrived super quick!! Half hour quicker than estimated!!! The chips looked a little anaemic but tasted amazing. The battery was one of the best I've had. Also tried the salt and pepper squid and wasn't disappointed will be ordering again! Thank you
