Service excellent, Morgan was superb. We had calamari to start which was Really nice, The wife had a sirloin Steak which she said was fantastic, I had the mixed grill which was ok? Steak a little disappointing , chewy. But our overall experience was great, really enjoyed the afternoon. Thanks R &

We hadn't been to the Rose and Crown for a while but pleased to find well cooked food, which was plentiful and tasty. Really nice to have a good salad with the main course. The staff were excellent even though it was a busy service.

We stayed overnight while travelling in Wales - what a find! Check In excellent, room clean and well equipped, pub and locals amazingly friendly (even with an England rugby world cup game on the TV), dinner and breakfast was great. Running out of superlatives to describe the place.

The setting of the pub is superb we took our son who was visiting from Australia and having travelled all over the world with work he said the steak he had was the best ever and the recommendation of how it should be cooked was perfect. My curry was superb and the rest of the meals beautifully presented with a smile. The staff were all polite and happy in their work and very attentive even though it was really busy. Our last evening with our son before he returns to Australia was a resounding success and we are so happy we took him to the Rose and Crown fir his last evening with us. Thank you so much to all the staff for giving us an unforgettable time.Parking: Not a lot of parking in the car park but found off street parking a short walk away

Have visited the rose & crown many many times over the summer. Food and service is always perfect regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Staff cannot do enough for you and are always happy to have a chat and go the extra mile for you, all of the managers are a credit to the company. I have also stayed in the hotel a few times and rooms are always immaculate. Will definitely be returning to this cosy welcoming pub over autumn and winter.
I could not recommend this pub enough. We booked for a Sunday lunch and the food came quickly and was yummy. The service was impeccable and super friendly.Our car decided to break down just after our meal and the staff were so caring and understanding. Even one of the locals offered us sanctuary in their home for tea and cake.Thank you team

We visit Porthcawl regularly and always stop here on our way home to Swansea for the best Coffee in Porthcawl nowhere else comes up to the mark the food is also amazing and the atmosphere is homely the staff are great and will always go out of there way to help you. We have both our dogs with us my little Cockerpoo Dolly and my sister dog Bella and they always make a fuss of them. Charlotte is one of their lovely staff she is so friendly we always have a lovely chat and she makes our coffee just as we like it. Myself, my wife and daughter came for dinner Sunday evening and everything was perfect. We had the lasagne, cauliflower kebab and Childs burger. They were still running roasts but they also do other dishes too which suited us as we weren’t in the mood for a roast dinner. The service and food was faultless. They serve food all day, every day which is handy to know as most places either close in between lunch and dinner service or close on certain days. At least you know, you will always be in luck with the Rose & Crown. They do get very busy though so booking is advisable. Thank you team rose and crown.
