Visited here on two separate occasions - first time was from a recommendation at the start of the holiday. First we went for lunch, arrived at 11:15 and told lunch orders would take place from 11:30, ended up being 11:50 by time we weee actually served. I had a Steak, Onion & Gravy Baguette (incredible!!) and my partner had Ham, Egg & Chips.. both superb! On the second visit a few days later we went for breakfast - we both had the Port Special, very quick service, food came out after about 5 mins amazing. The meals were great but the toast was black, not edible at all, such a shame as the breakfast itself was tasty and piping hot/fresh. Next time we are in the area this would be the first place I’d go for food!

Really good, traditional food, perfectly cooked. Great value too. Popped in for breakfast with my wife and son. We ordered a standard breakfast, a vegetarian one and American style pancakes. All three were delicious, with a special mention for the veggie breakfast, which was the best I've had in a long time. Instead of the usual unappealing Quorn type offering, the Port serves up home made Glamorgan sausages - absolutely delicious.

Stopped in for lunch. Slightly more expensive then we would normally spend however the service was really good, food was nice and we enjoyed our visit. Will return next time we're in Porthmadog

We called in to The Port in Criccieth for lunch. Excellent service food and price. There was nothing too much trouble for the great team. Fish chips. Liver and onions. The Port steak pie. Three suits Just fantastic Thanks Dickie ?

If you want a tasty, value for money meal then this is the place to be. When in Porthmadog this is our favourite place to go, fantastic breakfast’s, amazing Sunday dinners with six/seven different vegetables and they even cater for my gluten allergy. All at a very reasonable price. The staff are very friendly and attentive and an asset to this very busy business.

After being refused breakfast at the local premier inn we found this cafe by chance. My son’s autistic and very fussy with food. It really was a great find, very helpful staff, lovely breakfast which my son enjoyed and cheaper than the premier inn. Thank you so much!!

Food was distinctly average. Arrived mid afternoon (2:30pm on a Sunday) staff were a bit lacklustre, looked like they were almost finished serving hot food as they were really keen to take our order. Gourmet Burger was bog standard and greasy. Food was overpriced. We got all the end of a bag of frozen chips, which was much poorer than the neighbouring table.Speaking of ‘bogs’ the toilet was dirty, run down and looked like a local Council toilet … grubby, a big tile in the ceiling was missing, window boarded up, full view of the staff on their break when going to the toilet. There was a staff member with a beard and striped apron, who appeared to be hell bent on disturbing the working environment, was abrasive towards other staff, avoided and refused to help with tasks…. A really negative atmosphere was being created by this person. Overall , an unpleasant experience, we live locally and would never return. We couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Decent food, friendly staff, nice and clean. Only 1 issue, lack of gluten free options. May sound trivial to some but when you have a child with coeliac it’s a problem. Just keep some gf bread in the freezer as an option for a sandwich for coeliacs . Otherwise ok

An amazing breakfast with drinks included. Friendly staff. Highly recommended for an early Sunday morning stroll around Porthmadog.

We come a few times a year and really enjoy it every time! It’s great home cooked style food that never disappoints. I always have ham egg and chips, just because the ham is amazing. I mixed it up a bit last time and had a ham roast dinner. Wow, amazing! The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Very highly recommended.

Much higher petrol prices than the Tesco down the road. I really don't know how they do it, but the staff are the most ignorant people I have ever seen. No hello, always watching TV on their phones as they are serving, awful.
