What a lovely find. The menu is diverse and delicious. We have an extra large dog and they welcomed her and seated us out of the way asking if we wanted a sausage for the dog. Staff were super friendly and efficient, food was out in 10 mins. They have cold food options and separate restaurant for hot meals. Lots of covered outdoor seating too. Great place, would highly recommend.

Great value for money, excellent food always a warm welcome. The owner will always acknowledge you if he sees you and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. If he sees a table needing clearing, he does it.

A must visit restaurant in the heart of Portmadog. Plenty of room for large groups. We found the service swift and staff friendly especially the owner. We enjoyed our meal and refreshments.

This is a Fabulous place. I have been coming to this establishment in it's various incarnations since 1978. The food is always good. Often excellent. There are cakes, sandwiches, Pies, pasties and my personal favourite the Breakfast. If you're ever in Porthmadog drop in and try it.

I visited twice over the a long weekend 30/31 October 2023 on the Sunday afternoon we had Coffee and Lemon Meringue Pie which was simply divine, the place is spotless and the staff extremely attentive. After such a positive experience my wife and I went in for breakfast on the Monday morning, we sat in the diner area, we were promptly served our drinks and our food arrived a little while after (cooked to order) it was perfect everything nice and hot. o wrap things of a member of staff boxed up a whole Lemon Meringue pie to take home it really is that good.Next time I visit I fully intend to try the daily Roast dinner and I have a feeling it wont be to far in the future. And amazingly this place is dog friendly another huge thumbs up from us

Nice little place, well situated, really nice staff and a lovely vibe. Good offerings for food. Tea was great, lots of coffee options and the hot chocolate that my friend ordered was a work of art. Definitely will be back. Place is 100% biker friendly, lots of areas to park nearby. Nice seating both inside and out.Parking: Great for bikers. Loads of space

Excellent service. Really friendly staff. Lovely food although we only had bacon sandwiches. Same it came on sliced bread but probably my fault for not asking for it on a bap. Still, would go again. Only called in for a drink on the way home back to Yorkshire.

The Port Cafe is always our first stop when we get into Porthmadog, breakfast is spot on , all food is freshly cooked, very clean too. Staff are lovely, have been going here for many year's now.

Service was great. Food was good. Someone needs to tell them though that the Hellman’s mayonnaise that they have freely sitting on tables all day needs to be refrigerated after opening!!!!! Yikes.

Very good and friendly service. We went 2 mornings for breakfast. Very fresh and tasty food. The coffee was good too. Although we didn't have any other meals there , they offer a wide range of lovely looking sandwiches and pies . The cakes were very tempting and it was obviously very popular with the locals. I believe they offer a variety of cooked lunches also. Very good.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available.

I was undertaking a (cold) house move in Feb 2023 and found myself needing to find a cooked breakfast in Porthmadog, on a mid-week morning. I was very glad to stumble upon the Port Cafe which seemed to be the only place open for sit down breakfast at that time of year. Just got in in time before they stopped serving breakfast that morning. Had an absolutely fab cooked breakfast with lots of different items, the fresh and delicious black pudding being a highlight. Breakfast also served with toast and butter. I also had a very good hot chocolate. Friendly service as well. Still grateful for the meal all these months later as I was drained with all the move work and the food perked me up no end!

We visited as a family on holiday, looking for a good Sunday Lunch and found ourselves in this surprisingly big cafe/restaurant. It was busy yet the tables were nicely spaced out and the establishment was clean and tidy. We each ordered a roast dinner and some drinks, and we weren’t disappointed by size. There was plenty of food and I was pleasantly surprised by the addition of cauliflower cheese to the dish, which I haven’t had for quite some time and it was delicious. The one critique I had with the meal is that the beef was a bit dry, possibly over-cooked and just a bit hard to eat. But the rest of the meal I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I also had a glimpse of other tables’ food coming out and I must admit the burgers looked phenomenal. We will remember this as a good spot for lunch when we visit again in the future. I would definitely recommend.
