Visitors to the area and found this gem of a pub which served excellant food and discovered that it was the oldest pub in PortmadogVegetarian options: There were vegetarian options but did not take any detailsParking: If you go after 6.00pm there is a large carpark more or less opposite and there is also limited parking on the streetKid-friendliness: In our party there was a 3 year old and she was made very welcome and they have a children's menu

We came here as were looking for some dog friendly pub food during our stay at Porthmadog. And we are so glad we came. You definitely need to prebook as it was busy! We got the two meals for £20 - a chicken curry and lasagne. Plus a portion of chips of course. Our bill came to £40ish but considering we had two pints of beer and two pints of coke, not a bad bill at all. The food was delicious!!! I would recommend the lasagne as it was gorgeous. If we lived closer, we would definitely be regulars.

We ordered two Sunday lunch take away meals, absolutely fabulous, best value for money ever. We had loads of meat, peas, red cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, mash, roast potato, with Yorkshire pudding and stuffing and gravy all for only £8, amazing value and good quality food.

An amazing experience this evening, food was hot, fresh and filling to the point where we have no pictures cos we were hungry and made it all dissappear really quick ?They were lovely too and very welcoming! Would recommend for food and just a drink.
