A cute little restaurant in the square. Not far from Porthmadog and a short drive from the town. Highly recommend as the steak, service and cocktails were great.

I don’t usually write reviews but our meals were divine. What a great evening. The food was fabulous and the staff were happy and helpful. We are so lucky to have such a fantastic restaurant locally. We will continue to recommend it to our guests (who love it here) and will be back again ourselves. The slow roast belly pork was gorgeous and is a tricky dish to get right, however, they got it spot on and the jus was simply heaven.

Our new favourite restaurant in North Wales. Booked a table due to the good reviews and was not disappointed. Very unassuming exterior, cost and clean inside. We were seated in the window, which was great even if it was raining outside! Had the best and biggest scallops I've had for a starter, king scallops! Tempura prawns were also delicious. Preferred the pork belly to duck for the main. Will definitely come back as it is very reasonably priced.

Walked up here from the travel lodge after reading all the brilliant reviews and very glad I did. Food was absolutely outstanding especially the scallops and pork belly they were 12/10!! Special mentions to Madison who was especially friendly and smiley and gave me some recommendations :)

Very good food and service. Deceptively quiet from the outside, but a very warm welcome upon arrival. Food was quick to arrive and well presented. Between four of us, we had three different starters and four different mains. All were perfectly cooked and tasted great. Would definitely visit again, even though it was a little pricey.

What a wonderful place! We visited for a meal this evening whilst on holiday, in the local area. We were so impressed and will defiantly visit again in future. Food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Portions were generous and very well presented. The restaurant was busy, creating a pleasant atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend a visit ???

Absolutely first class, sixteen of us there last night. We have been to a few Michelin star restaurants aver the year but this place is up there with them. Can’t wait to go again. ?

Booked an early evening meal at the Y Sgwar.. Walk in, service was immediate, friendly and helpful. Menu was varied and to our surprise there was an early bird menu. Number of courses at set price. We later realised for the high standard of food this was a fantastic deal. With my wife .. Great starters. and both had local slow cooked lamb.. Unbelievable standard for the amount being served. My wife finished with a superb fruit crumble. My wife is a coeliac and therefore requires gluten free food. The staff were knowledge and owner/manager advise was first class. Her every request was accommodated. First class visit, food and service. Highly recommend and definitely return if in area again Thank You..
I would give the restaurant 6 stars if I could. The food was amazing, friendly staff, good portion size and value for money. So good we have eaten there 2 nights in a row and going back again tonight to try something different again off of the menu. Definitely worth a visit

We were in North wales for a family holiday as a Vegan we have to be prepared before hand. My partner comes North wales for their work project every year, he had eaten in this restaurant 2 years ago, since then he was talking about it. So we ended up coming for a fancy, fine dinner.Absolutely Amazing decision. Restaurant manager and the staff were soooo kind and helpful.Thanks to chefs for the tasty food. There are not much Vegan options but the ones we chose were just so delicious.In total we ordered around 8 dishes mix of starter-main-sides and desserts. My little monkey had most of it (btw she is really difficult to please)Everything were perfect except from the one waiter(we have to mention him couple of times that we are vegan, and we had to make sure when ordering or receiving the food) he is probably new/young in the business…Other than that I would %1000000 would RECOMMEND this place.
