This restaurant serves some of the best food I have had in many a long year. Staff are extremely attentive and make the whole experience run so smoothly. You will have to book, but it's well worth it. We found prices to be perfectly acceptable and the chef is so good at his job. 5 stars all round.

Just left the restaurant. Really good food. Scallops with cauliflower puree, black pudding and belly pork. Followed by duck cooked really well, carrots, crispy parsnips and potato dauphinoise.Noteworthy details: In town, parking opposite.

A georgous little restaurant in Gwynedd, and in Porthmadog right near the harbour. An acceldade to the provision of fine food cooked at its best. Our meal was very much appreciated, the service was second to none and the wine choices clearly thought out. This isn't overpriced, and the quality of the items brought in are clearly executed with experience from within the trade. It's well executed and well cooked and well presented in all aspects of the house. A very big thank you as our second meal here was an exceptional experience and would like to say thanks to the GM and the rest of the staff including the kitchen staff. Your doing it right, and the whole thing amounts to a great place to visit, and a feel good moment for your time in Porthmadog, North Wales.

Staff are friendly and helpful, but thats it. Overpriced food, overpriced wine. The portion of lamb was very small for £25. The wine wasn't good either at £39 per bottle. Breakfast was ok I guess, I would give it 5 out of 10. But overall this place is very disappointing.

Beautiful restaurant, calm and relaxing setting. The staff were great and so patient and knowledgeable about the menu. All so welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was top tier. Pork belly, steaks and scallops all cooked to perfection. Thank you for a wonderful evening Yr Hen Fecws.

Booked in to here at very short notice and although I only stayed 1 night it was superb. The room was spotless, the staff are down to earth and the breakfast was one of the best I have had at a B&B, nothing bad I can say about the place, don't forget your vacuum cleaner LOL private joke.I would recommend visiting and would like to go back soon.

We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and decided to visit Port Meirion as it was somewhere we had never been! We booked this place to hopefully enjoy a nice meal to end our day and we were not disappointed! From the moment we walked through the door we were met by such wonderful staff, the place itself was very intimate and welcoming! The staff were very attentive and friendly and also very knowledgeable about the food on offer! We can't remember the last time that we had a three course meal when we were out but this was exceptional! Home made local produce and a good variety of dishes! We would not have any problems recommending this place in fact we said that it was a pity that we did not live more locally so that we could visit more often!

We have used the restaurant on several occasions before over the years, hence our return. This time we opted to stay onsite too, our room was on the ground floor, directly next to the restaurant, the walls are so thick we couldn't hear a thing. Our room was compact and quite perfect for two, the shower was brand new and quite amazing, especially after a long walk over The Cob, around the town and back. Our evening meal was truly amazing, as previously, top quality produce, cooked by the chef, I had the seafood linguine and my wife chose the chicken pie, house wine sensibly priced too, the waiter Caron, was really on the ball, he's only been with the group for a few weeks and what a credit to them he is, spot on Caron, 5 *. Our breakfast the following morning was served by Natalie, a great way to start the day for sure, yogurt, fruit, cereals etc to start, then the cooked brekkie was served most swiftly, all items plated separately on the one plate, nice and hot too. We cannot wait to return in March for our Wedding Anniversary, just the one night mind, due to our commitments back home. Each time we have visited, the staff have all, with no exceptions, been brilliant, they have a laugh with you, they are efficient, they are knowledgeable of the menu and the wine list. They give a good feeling of confidence in their environment. My only recommendation / request would be, hypoallergenic pillows as opposed to feather ones, this is not a critisism in any way.Rooms: Compact, clean, the older generation wooden furniture is quite warming somehow. Secure.Walkability: 500 yds from the town, there is a great pub on the harbour, about 500 yards away. There is a pub next door, give it a miss!Food & drinks: Immense. That sums it up really.
